Leave within 5 minutes, or risk being late... Despite my habit of arriving at the airport well ahead of time, my last trip was a different story. #Murphy's #Law prevailed: Heavier than usual traffic, a chaotic airport entrance, long check-in lines, and a boarding gate located at the farthest end of the terminal. I was among the last ones to board... Airlines do routinely remind passengers to arrive early, but is there an opportunity to hyper-personalise this? Can airlines factor in: 1) Your current location and estimated travel time to the #airport. 2) Your mode of #transportation. 3) Whether you've opted for #DigiYatra or have check-in baggage. 4) Typical check-in times for that specific time of day. 5) Whether you plan to grab a meal at the airport. 6) The time it takes to walk to your boarding gate. With these inputs, passengers could receive a #personalised notification. It informs the passengers of the exact time to leave for the airport. This would vary for each individual on the same flight... Air travel is not just boarding a plane. Integrating events leading up to it will make it less burdensome... Would love to hear views basis your experience... Vistara - TATA SIA Airlines Ltd. IndiGo (InterGlobe Aviation Ltd) Air India Limited SpiceJet Limited Akasa Air

During a discussion at the Air Service World Congress 2024, Managing Director of Maldives Airport Company Limited (MACL) Ibrahim Shareef talked about plans of seaplane operations during the night. Seaplanes operations are generally not conducted at night due to several challenges and safety concerns. At night, the lack of natural light makes it difficult for pilots to see obstacles in the water, such as floating debris, other vessels, or even marine life. Unlike airports, which are equipped with runway lights and other navigation aids, water bodies typically lack such infrastructure, making it harder for pilots to navigate safely. Landing on water requires precise judgment and visual cues, which are significantly reduced at night. At present even VFR operations in Maldives is not allowed in night. Advancements in technology could potentially address some of these challenges however the current limitations and safety concerns make night operations for seaplanes impractical and risky. #AviatorsMaldives | www.aviatorsmaldives.com Telegram Channel: https://lnkd.in/gCRbiAv

Let's discuss our air travel experiences. Share your thoughts and stories about flying. ___________________ Safe air travel in Nepal is ensured by the Civil Aviation Authority, which enforces international safety regulations for airlines. Pilots are trained to navigate the challenging terrain, especially in the Himalayan region, despite limited infrastructure at some airports. Weather conditions, particularly during the monsoon and winter seasons, are closely monitored to ensure passenger safety. Passengers can contribute to safety by following instructions and being patient during delays. Adherence to regulations, skilled pilots, and weather monitoring make air travel in Nepal safe and reliable. Improving airport security checks with a more respectful and courteous approach is essential to enhance security measures. It is crucial to ensure a balance between security protocols and passenger comfort. During a recent workplace field visit, I utilized the services of two different airlines, Buddha Air and Shree Air. Shree Air operates at approximately 16,500 feet, providing a less turbulent experience compared to Buddha Air, which operates at around 13,500 feet above the ground. Both airlines offered a smooth flying experience overall, ensuring a comfortable journey for passengers. Nepalese air travel is both safe and comfortable, allowing travelers to experience the beauty of our skies without hesitation. Change in airport rules: Items that can no longer be taken on plane As per the latest developments, airport rules have been recently updated that could specifically impact passengers travelling to Dubai. These updates have been made to ensure safety measures are adhered to strictly. Previously, travellers were accustomed to carrying essential items like medications in their cabin baggage. However, new regulations now prohibit certain medications from being carried on flights bound for Dubai. It is crucial for passengers to be informed about these changes and to ensure they only pack permitted items as per the updated guidelines. https://lnkd.in/gaEa6PYR #airport #rules #items #nolonger #plane #passengers #travelling #dubai #developments #safety #measures #flights #guidelines #travel #traveling #traveladvisor #travelindustry #travelagent TraveLICE TraveLICE Customercare
