For some categories, it already accounts for 25% of total ecommerce sales, and this is only set to grow. 2. Diversification of Categories: Quick commerce isn't new but today we see restaurant aggregators offering more choices, especially in convenience grocery. But it doesn't stop there. Fashion, consumer electronics, pet care, and even healthcare are jumping on board. What’s less clear is whether we will still buy from an aggregator for each category or whether there will be a higher-level aggregator spanning all of them. 3. Sellers, particularly while starting an e-commerce segment in their firm, need to focus the below; ✅ Keep your inventory as low as possible. ✅ Don’t start with Multiple products, it’s a cash burner. Start with products that has proven sales record. ✅Follow the trend to select product. This will eliminate some bad decisions. ✅Data driven decision. A company that keeps data’s & allows data to drive the decision factors has a good success ratio. PS: The market is right here. No need to urge in launching a product just because it has volume in sales. Remember, higher the competition lower the ASP, which in turn is a huge “disaster” to e-commerce. Focusing on e-Commerce & Consumers On this first day at Leaders in Logistics, Carmen Cureu, Marketing Research Director, and Hervé Crochet, Head of Sales, led a keynote session delving into the expectations of e-shoppers in order to deliver change. Analysing the findings of our most recent e-shopper barometer that surveyed no less than 24,000 online buyers across Europe, Carmen and Hervé discussed the resilience e-commerce now displays despite inflation and overall complex times. They noted 65% e-shoppers feel online purchasing can save money and consider price an important factor in the buying process. They also underscored the strong growth of the consumer-to-consumer space with 72% of regular e-shoppers buying or selling on C2C platforms. Right after the keynote, Thiemo van Spellen, our Global Accounts Managing Director took part in a roundtable where like-minded industry leaders discussed the importance of balancing customer convenience with cost and sustainability. During the session, Thiemo shared that every player in the supply chain needs to take responsibility for sustainability. He went on to highlight that it's key to build a hybrid network and offer a choice of delivery solutions for consumers.
