Yes. This. How good are your questions? You can tell by how long the responses are which may indicate how deep the customer (or prospect) goes into their answers. Short yes/no questions lead to short yes/no answers which deeply undercuts the ability to get to know your customers, their problems, and more importantly their desires.

Great reps seem to have an in-the-moment awareness for how the *shape* of the conversation is developing. Their calls look more like a friendly tug-of-war.
