Feb. 1, 2024 - Kwik-Wall Company announces the relaunch of the Unispan (R) overhead support system. Kwik-Wall Co. acquired the intellectual property rights to the Unispan product from Hufcor Inc., in June 2023 and immediately worked to rekindle supplier relations and set up manufacturing processes to reintroduce this very successful pre-engineered overhead truss system. The time-tested Unispan is installed in thousands of facilities in the past decade alone, and is now manufactured in Kwik-Wall’s Springfield, IL facility for immediate opportunities. Unispan allows building owners to install operable partitions and select glass wall systems within buildings that were not initially designed to support the weights of these walls. The Unispan truss system incorporates a bottom chord which is architectural grade aluminum, precision extruded to incorporate a hinged-paired panel track system. The truss is mounted to end posts that transfer the weight of the partition panels to the floor. End floor plates underneath the leg post distribute the loads allowing all buildings the capacity to offer flexible room division even if the overhead supports were not designed for top-hung movable wall systems. Unispan can be installed completely above or below the ceiling. In some cases, these can be installed partially below the ceiling as well. The system is supplied with "header side panels" that cover the truss system with matching finishes of the operable walls being supported. The header side panels are a unique feature only found from Kwik-Wall. Unispan provides an efficient option for GCs to single source overhead structure and operable partitions. The alternative is to contact a structure engineer to calculate a support beam and then install glue lam, C-channel, or steel I-beam support usually by a second sub-contractor. The pre-engineered Unispan panels are installed by trained Kwik-Wall distributors within one day without GCs and owners coordinating with multiple suppliers. The result? Reduced lead times and overall expense, especially for those tenant fit-out projects requiring fast turnaround. Unispan and Kwik-Wall hinged paired panels can be ordered, fabricated, and installed within 8 – 12 weeks. To learn more, visit: https://hubs.ly/Q02jph7y0

Exploring the World of Carbon Steel Electrical Cabinets Carbon steel is a super tough material that is perfect for making electrical cabinets. It has some awesome qualities: Strength: Carbon steel is really hard and can take a beating without getting damaged. Security: This metal is so strong that it keeps unauthorized people out of the electrical cabinet. Malleability: Carbon steel can be shaped into any form, making it perfect for custom cabinet designs. Fire-resistance: Carbon steel won’t catch fire easily, so it protects equipment from extreme heat and flames. Cost-effectiveness: Since carbon steel is made in thin sheets, it’s cheaper than other materials. #NEMA #NEMAenclosures #carbonsteel #electricalcabinets https://lnkd.in/dF7bwrG7

It is important to understand the need for optimally designing any switchboard before proceeding with doing the same. Typically Switchboards are erected in enclosed spaces which may house other equipments too. As the room dimensions are fixed, it becomes important to minimize the space occupied by the switchboards, so that they can be placed in the room easily. This case becomes an even greater concern when switchboards have to be placed in already existing rooms that are partly occupied. Often, the Switchboards are placed on first or higher floor of a building and have bottom entry cables. Thus, floor cutouts have to be made in advance to terminate the cable connecting the load at the switchboard end.

BVR cable wire characteristics The product is suitable for fixed installation of power plant with rated AC voltage up to and including 450/750V. Such as home decoration lighting. Fixed wiring can be used for indoor open coating, pipe piercing and other occasions. In order to facilitate the difference in the installation process, it can be divided into seven colors: red, yellow, blue, green, black, white and double. As BVR is soft structure, its application scope is mostly in soft environment. Differences between BV and BVR The only difference between BVR wire and BV wire is that the diameter of the R wire conductor is soft copper wire. That is, increase the number of conductors and reduce the diameter of a single conductor. The diameter of a single conductor is less than 1mm. In this way, BVR wire is very soft, laying Angle requirements are greatly reduced than BV wire, threading pipe, groove more convenient, fast, reduce the working intensity while greatly improving the work efficiency. Did you know that ALL glass impact tests (BS EN 12600) are done in a temperature controlled environment, ALL glass test pieces are the same size (865mm x 1930mm) & MOST CRITICALLY, the test pieces are FULLY FRAMED ON ALL 4 SIDES which is clamped into a steel frame which is then bolted to the concrete floor. The glass panel is ALWAYS struck dead centre because for the glass panel, this is the less stress that the pane is going to feel due to the dissipation of energy across a larger glass surface before it reaches the outside edge. The glass is allowed to move (Flex) more. So any other means of fitting glass into a building have never been tested to BS EN 12600. The same is for curved glass. There is no impact test for curved glass because the test result CANNOT be accurated due to the impactor sliding off. So how does curved glass every make it into a building where they are claiming that it meets an impact test that doesn't exist? It's a worry fact that glass impact testing (BS EN 12600) only occurs on flat pieces of glass and where ALL 4 sides are held firmly in a frame. So how many other ways of fixing glass into a building are there? 1. Bottom edge fixed 2. Bottom and top edge fixed 3. Left and right hand edge fixed All 3 can have various fixing methods too with metal "U" Channel, metal "D" clamps and metal bolts. Did you know that none of the above fixing methods are tested with BS EN 12600? Are you sure that the glass installation you have in the building you work in, sleep in etc is correct for the scenario it has been designed, specified and installed to?

In this video, Martin, our project manager, will give you an update on this home, which has now reached the mechanical stage. This phase happens after framing and before insulation, where all the inner components are installed behind the walls and in the flooring system. We usually start by running ductwork throughout the home, followed by plumbing lines and drains for future fixtures, and finally, the electrical and low voltage wiring. Most of these placements are pre-planned with our trade partners and discussed with homeowners during the Project Development phase. However, we’ll do an electrical walk-through at the start of the mechanical stage to finalize the locations of light switches, dimmers, speaker placements, and more. So, join us as we take a closer look at the progress! . #homebuilder #homebuilding #kansascityrealestate #kcrealestate #kchomes #kansascitylife #kchomebuilder #kansascityconstruction #kcluxuryhomes #modernhome #luxurydesign #luxuryhome #contractors #designbuild #homedesign #buildingdreamhomes
