🎓 This Giving Tuesday, I'm proud to support Anaya Scholars in their mission to democratize education. Education remains one of the strongest predictors of lifetime earnings and career success. Yet many low-income and first-generation students face significant financial and non-financial barriers to graduating college and only 10%-20% who start college, graduate college. At Anaya Scholars, they're changing this narrative. Their work focuses on: ▫️ Providing comprehensive scholarships ▫️ Connecting students with professional and peer mentors ▫️ Creating pathways to internships and career opportunities ▫️ Building a community of future leaders which is why 90% of Anaya Scholars are on track to graduate. As a professional community that values talent and potential, I invite my LinkedIn network to join me in supporting this crucial cause. Your Giving Tuesday donation will directly impact low-income and first-generation students' ability to graduate college. Ready to make a difference? Many of CISA's underrepresented students in humanities and interdisciplinary studies majors require financial assistance to finish their degrees. Whether it's money to help with books, housing, tuition, research or pursuing unpaid internships — your generosity can make a meaningful impact on our students, setting them up for success for years to come. Your donation, of any amount, will be matched up to $15,000 in additional student support and bring us even closer to endowing CISA's Interdisciplinary Humanities Scholarship, enabling us to offer it every semester in perpetuity! All funds will be deposited with the ASU Foundation for A New American University, a nonprofit organization that exists to support Arizona State University (ASU). Gifts in support of ASU are subject to foundation policies and fees. In the event that funds raised reach $25,000, gifts will be permanently endowed. Your gift may be considered a charitable contribution. Please consult your tax advisor regarding the deductibility of charitable contributions. My first thought for 5 is whether or not you’ve thought about the partners you need or lined up those partners you need throughout the year to stay on track with your asks and closes.
The HigherEd Fundraiser July To-Do List: 1. Thank your university partners who made last FY a success, copy errrybody, especially their boss. 2. Prep for GivingTuesday (in December this year) - November and December will probably be bonkers with the election. 3. Get the lapel pins at the bottom of your bag back in rotation..before the university rebrands again. 4. When will parent prospects be on campus this year? (especially those Seniors, now or never). 6. Put the random business card info in the CRM, for the love of APRA. 7. Sync your calendar with the university calendar, advancement calendar, holiday calendar, your dean/faculty schedules, when Mercury is in retrograde, and when your MIL is in town. 8. Set monthly calendar reminders to review your personal goals and metrics. Set another reminder that no metric will ever measure how you support generosity in humans and that's effing incredible. What am I missing? I would love to hear how you use the summer months to prep for the year ahead. #highered #advancement #fundraising #philanthropy

Your donation changes a young professional’s path. We’ve seen positive experiences deeply root students in the community, creating a greater likelihood of continuing to invest in purpose-driven work, local communities, and the state following graduation. The Intern Foundry (IF) program is an intentionally designed partnership between the Foundry and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Honors Program to address the “brain drain” in Nebraska by pairing the University's highest-achieving students with meaningful work-based learning opportunities addressing critical areas of high community need. Your Give to Lincoln Day Donation directly impacts the number of students we can support through Intern Foundry. With our goal of $10,000, three new nonprofits will gain interns to address community need, and three incredible young professionals will be given the opportunity and tools needed to make Nebraska their purpose. https://lnkd.in/gFYEQrzX

Today is #GivingTuesday! Consider donating to Minds Matter Colorado: https://lnkd.in/gDkGkigh Did you know that while Colorado is one of the five most educated states in the country, we’re in the bottom five at helping Colorado students graduate high school and get into college? Did you know nearly 91% of jobs that pay a living wage in Colorado require some level of education after high school? At Minds Matter Colorado, we’re on a mission to prove that it’s access, not ability, that limits college choice for many qualified students. So we connect bright students from low-income households with the relationships and resources they need to expand their post-secondary educational horizons. Our unique approach combines three years of mentorship with committed volunteers, weekly college-prep instruction and access to summer programs at colleges across the country. As a result, 100 percent of our graduates complete high school on time and are accepted to four-year colleges and universities with scholarships. With your support we can make sure these students have the chance to expand their horizons and we can serve more students like them across the state.

Another 35 children receive hope through a Business Bookfairy 📚🧚♂️ - The counselor shown here 👇🏽 Thank you Gean Van Horn Van Horn and Sargon Eshagh CEO and VP of Marketing at zutBe. for making this possible. Sargon, thank you for personally delivering the books to Fischer Middle School too and supporting The Eastside Education Initiative (EEI). You were one of my first tech leaders at 23 and here we are over 25 years later … giving it back. Beautiful ❤️ Can we get more donors? One classroom at a time, one school at a time … How much? $220 for a classroom set of 35. That’s it 😍 so individuals and companies can all be part of this butterfly effect. Ps: grants ok too 🥰 I want books like this everywhere. Let’s prove that we can build demand backwards - that you the professional, that you a business sees value in HOPE books in schools. So by the time kids are out - we’ve shown them a job pathway option through story. Students need to see us to be us. 4000 books given for FREE to students in a year - for many their first book. We need to scale - if you have a way, reach out. Why so cheap? The cost to you the bookfairy donor is essentially cost but the impact - PRICELESS. ✨I’m aiming for impact✨ Thank you for all your support. A note from the Executive Director: "You're closing?! This place is great. It's a shame." How often have you heard something like that? How often have you SAID something like that? You hear it at going-out-of-business sales; at the last show of a long-running play; you'll even hear a version of it at funerals. You'll also hear this: "I used to..." Businesses close and runs end for many reasons, but the "I used to..." is a part of every one. We fondly remember the good 'ole days and lament their passing, but not in time to do something. "I should have come more often," we say. But then we get busy with life and move on - until another closing brings back the same feelings. That kind of loss is why the Mustard Seed Education Foundation exists. Catholic grade schools have been closing for several decades due to decreasing enrollment, often spurred by increasing cost. The founders of the Mustard Seed didn't want to look back and wonder if they could have helped. They created a scholarship fund to help parents who want to send their kids to Catholic pre-K to 8th grade schools but cannot afford it on their own. And since 2018, the Mustard Seed has awarded over $50,000 to those families. It's a great start that we hope is just the beginning. Whether you attended a Catholic school, your kids attended, or your friends send their kids, you know how great Catholic education can be. Please consider donating to the Mustard Seed Education Foundation so we can increase the impact of our programs across Northwest Ohio, Texas, and Utah. Don't wait until another school closes to get involved. Thank you, Paul Redrup https://lnkd.in/eBtkVmv
