While the festivities are fun, we love the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade® for the opportunity to spend more time with our colleagues! 🤎 What are your favorite #MacysParade memories? 🦃🎈
I’ve had the amazing pleasure of being a Balloon Handler in 2 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parades (most recently in 2022)… I loved every minute of each time - such boundless energy, pure joy and love from others on my balloon and from the excited crowds that lined the parade route as we passed… Thank you to my dear friend, Maria (my Balloon Pilot) and to the entire Macy’s Team for providing such joy every year!!!!! 🥰🦃❤️
My favorite parade memory is from 2012, standing near Central Park South when suddenly this guy starts tossing pancakes from his apartment into the crowd of parade watchers. It was literally raining food as balloons were going by ☠️. I’ll keep you posted if buddy is flinging food off the balcony this year lol
Macy’s parade happens every year when they do not pay their employees well.
My birthday fell on the day I was in the parade as a clown captain. I only told one person .while we were stationed next to the park waiting to be told to enter that person yelled out that it was my birthday. I turned around to a least a hundred clowns singing happy birthday to me.
An ICONIC tradition!!
One of the best events of the year. I love being able to catch a glimpse of the balloons as they go by!
Congratulations!
Thank you Macy's for this wonderful parade you brought to us ever since 1924! For me, it feels great being part of the parade!
