Heading to New York to jump on the Beyond Activ stage to talk about “How to Monetize your Community” This had me contemplating how hard I used to make my own marketing practices… I used to think that building a community meant I needed to create an online group, develop large amounts of copy and hit them every day with value… It costed me thousands… In reality, developing a community especially for gym owners is easier then you think.. Here is a quick guide on how you can start building advocacy today. 1) Build a positive brand that displays who you are, this could be as simple as developing a vision and values around you 2) develop a list of all existing members, categories from longest active members to just started. 3) Set 10 minutes a day to email 5 of them (in order) ask how they are doing, request a review, ask them to invite a friend for a day This won’t just raise your position in google, it will allow for higher retention and close rate.
