iZotope, Inc. makes incredibly powerful tools for post production audio cleanup. Voice actors, mainly those doing audio book work or the kinds of projects where they’re the last stop, will make use of de-noise and mouth-declick to fix common issues. But there’s so much more to RX… especially as you get into the advanced tools. While they might not be relevant to voice actors, here’s a bit of a deep-dive into how their tools saved a concert video for a well known artist- allowing me to take a single mono recording and extract an LtRt mix from it! Get ready for goosebumps! Just listened to "The House of the Rising Sun" remix in Gospel via Udio's new Audio Inpainting feature, and it's absolutely soul-stirring! Udio has launched some incredible updates: Audio Inpainting, an innovative feature that allows you to seamlessly edit and refine your audio tracks. You can select a portion of a track to re-generate based on the surrounding context. This makes it easy to edit single vocal lines, correct errors, or smooth over transitions, so you can create the perfect track. Extended track duration up to 15 minutes in length. The ability to select the context-window size used in extensions. This means you can adjust how much of the previous audio is ‘seen’ when generating the next clip. You can choose a 2 minute context window if you want more global consistency, or a short context window if you want to quickly transition between musical styles. The ability to trim your track before you perform an extension. This means you can easily extend from any section of a track or remove sections from the beginning that you do not like.
