One of my top five values is respect. How have our smart phones, tvs and tablets impacted our respect for one another? What if we were to be present with those around us? Is that a form of respect? It is in my book! #Respect #joyfulbusiness https://lnkd.in/eaniyzSE

Last week my husband and I went to an event at a local theater. I noticed during intermission that there were quite a few people on their phones, even though there were folks sitting next to them. We have become very attached to our smart phones. What if we started having more conversations with those around us - even strangers? One of my top five values is respect. Putting our phones away and engaging with those around us is a sign of respect, in my opinion. Want to experiment? During your next meal with someone, can you turn off the tv or put your phone or tablet somewhere they can't be accessed? Have a conversation with the person next to you. It's a definite sign of respect in my book!
