How rude! 😱 So as you know here at Fresh we help find candidates their dream role But when they've accepted the offer It's not job done Oh no! ❌ We keep in regular with them during their notice periods And even when they start To make sure they're ok and see how they're getting on 😀 So imagine how frustrating it is when you contact your candidate On numerous occasions... Only to be ignored 😱 This has happened to me recently and it made me quite sad 😥 We give our candidates a free service And it's a shame that some people don't realise that It only takes a few minutes to reply to a text Thankfully, the client has been in regular contact with the new starter And they have a start date and everything is good But it could have been a completely different outcome! So all I'm asking is for some communication Even if it's to say that everything is good and I don't need to contact them again.... I have worked with recruiters for years and this is something that as a candidate we deal with over and over again. You get approached by a recruiter have a great conversation and send your cv and then nothing, you follow up multiple times with no response or you have your initial interviews and have to follow up because there is no contact from the recruiter. I totally understand that ghosting is frustrating but believe me it is harder from the candidate side when we are having to follow up. I should state though I have come across some great recruiters in my time (as I am sure you are) who have made the experience great as well.
Valid point! Some people only care about you on the what can you do for me motto.
There is no excuse for ghosting, I mean how can anyone ignore the effort you put into recruiting. I’m being ghosted by a national agency after my 3rd and final interview over a week ago 😤
Communication is so important! I wouldn't dream of ghosting someone that had just helped me find a dream job!

7moAfter 15 months out of work, multiple conversations with multiple recruiters, I can honestly say there are a LOT of recruiters out there who ghost candidates I had emails, conversations, prelim interviews with recruiters who all said pretty much the same thing "You are soooo the right match for this role" etc etc etc, then nothing No response to calls, emails, texts I posted a while back about this issue, and one recruiter, who had ghosted me, even put a "support" emoji on my post So I tried to contact them again, guess what "I'm sorry so-and-so is not available, I'll get them to call / email you back" and again, nothing There are large and small recruitment companies who are simply not fit for purpose and make the hunt for a role ever more stressful On the flip side, there were a couple of VERY GOOD recruiters who did the calls, arranged the interviews, did the follow-up, it's just a pity their clients were ageist when I went to the interviews
