Trust is the key to any relationship, and this is especially true when you are in a leadership or mentorship role. To achieve anything meaningful together, you will at times need to challenge each team member directly to push themselves to achieve their full potential. While necessary, these conversations can be difficult for both of you. So before doing so, they need to know with certainty that you care for them personally, including their own individual goals and priorities. Demonstrate this authentically through your words and actions, and you will unlock a mutual respect and commitment that will push the limits of what you can achieve individually and as a team. #leadership #mentorship #radicalcandor
