💃 Free Executive Coaching Offer 🕺 After a few years of informal coaching, I am now studying for my ILM L7 Executive Coaching and Mentoring qualification. As part of my course I need to show examples of real-life coaching with two coachees. I am offering this opportunity for free as it also helping me attain my qualification. 🙌 Can Coaching really help? Our mindset is the single most important factor that determines how we succeed. And yet, for most of us, it often interferes with us performing our best and reaching our goals. We tend to get in the way with our own negative self chatter and fears and this cycle can be hard to break. Coaching, when you need it and are ready for it, can help us move forward faster. It can provide confidence, clarity and commitment to help move past those thought processes which hold us back. I also have had the benefit of some fantastic coaches who have at different stages been an invaluable part of my journey 🫶🏼 🙌 Who is the offer for? The offer is available to anyone in an executive, senior or management position, a professional or is self-employed who thinks they may benefit from some coaching. I am particularly interested in offering the sessions to people from groups who are often under represented at the leadership and executive levels. 🙌 What does the coaching cover? Anything you like. It is your session and I am here to help you achieve your goals. Whether it's a specific issue, career development, performance enhancement or personal development. 🙌 What is included? I can offer three one-hour sessions to two candidates. These are best carried out on a monthly basis either remotely or depending on location, face-to- face. One session will be recorded for the assessment. 🤔 Are there hidden sales involved? No, this is completely free as it helps me achieve my qualification. All I ask is that you commit to the three sessions if we agree to go forward. I am looking for two candidates. 🙋♀️ What do I do if I am interested? Please DM me with your details and what you would like to get out of the coaching. The next stages would then involve a quick chat to see if we would be suitable for each other. 🙋♂️ What if I would like some coaching? Contact me anyway and I would love to work with you to help you unlock your potential. Thank you to a fabulous network for supporting 💜 #ExecutiveCoaching #Lifelessons #Careergoals #Lifegoals #Mindset #Leadership #Selfconfidence #Motivation #Success

Is Executive coaching worth it? 🤔 Last week, I spoke with a gentleman who posed this very question. There are many myths surrounding executive coaching that can make it seem mysterious or even unnecessary. Let's clear the air and uncover the truth about what executive coaching really is. 𝐌𝐲𝐭𝐡 #1: 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬. 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲: Executive coaching is for anyone who wants to grow, whether you're a high-performing executive, a mid-level manager, or an entrepreneur. It's about maximizing your potential and achieving your goals, not just fixing problems. 𝐌𝐲𝐭𝐡 #2: 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐨. 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲: A coach isn't there to give you orders or make decisions for you. Instead, they facilitate a process that helps you discover your own solutions. Coaching is about empowering you to think critically and make informed decisions. 𝐌𝐲𝐭𝐡 #3: 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐬 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬. 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲: The outcomes of coaching are highly personalized and depend on your goals and efforts. A coach helps you clarify your objectives and develop strategies to achieve them, but the journey and results are unique to you. 𝐌𝐲𝐭𝐡 #4: 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐟𝐢𝐱. 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲: Executive coaching is a process that requires commitment and time. It's about creating sustainable change and long-term growth, not instant solutions. Think of it as a journey of self-discovery and continuous improvement. 𝐌𝐲𝐭𝐡 #5: 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐬 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐲. 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲: While both coaching and therapy involve personal development, they are fundamentally different. Therapy often deals with past issues and mental health, whereas coaching focuses on future goals and professional growth. Coaching is a strategic investment in your leadership and career development. So, Why Opt for Executive Coaching? 👉🏻 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡: Tailored to your unique needs and aspirations. 👉🏻 𝐄𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐟-𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬: Gain insights into your strengths and areas for growth. 👉🏻 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬: Develop skills to lead effectively and inspire others. 👉🏻 𝐎𝐛𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞: Receive unbiased feedback and guidance. 👉🏻 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞: Achieve lasting, meaningful transformation in your professional and personal life. 🌟Exploring the Depths of #Coaching with Sridhar Laxman When I wanted to know more about Sridhar Laxman before listening to him at coaching.com, I came across this gem of a talk on YouTube. Watch the talk here - https://lnkd.in/dqssBtxY This talk was a fascinating exploration of the coaching process and the intricate balance required to handle diverse personalities and organizational goals. 🌟Three things stood out for me: 1. Fear and clarity cannot coexist; increasing clarity usually reduces fear. Coaches help clients gain clarity to overcome fears and make better decisions. 2. Understanding and accepting polarities – being an introvert and extrovert in different situations – is crucial in coaching. 3. Coaches must continuously invest in their development, addressing internal battles and maintaining a state of calm and presence. This self-awareness and growth are essential for effectively helping clients. Additional Insights from the Talk 🌟Balancing Individuality and Commonalities: He emphasizes the unique traits every individual brings, whether in one-on-one coaching or group settings. He points out the common threads, such as aspirations, fears, and self-doubts, that all individuals share regardless of their backgrounds. 🌟Aligning Stakeholders in Coaching: Effective coaching begins with alignment among stakeholders: the organization, the manager, the client & the coach. If there is resistance or discomfort, the process doesn't start until everyone is on the same page regarding the goals. 🌟Addressing Resistance to Change: He notes that resistance to change is natural and common. The coaching process involves understanding this resistance, bringing awareness to it, & helping individuals make informed choices. 🌟Storytelling in Coaching: Storytelling is a powerful tool in coaching, but it's primarily the clients who share their stories. Creating a safe, non-judgmental space by Coaches allows clients to open up and share their experiences, which can be incredibly insightful. 🌟Being in the Moment: He emphasizes the importance of being present and focusing on the current moment. This helps in understanding the client's current state and addressing their immediate needs effectively. 🌟The Coach’s Journey: While he didn’t delve deeply into his personal journey in the provided excerpt, he acknowledges the importance of coaches being aware of their own stories and continuously learning from them. Sridhar Laxman's talk is a masterclass in understanding the nuances of coaching, making it a must-watch for anyone in the field. #Coaching #PersonalDevelopment #Leadership #SelfImprovement #ProfessionalGrowth #ExecutiveCoaching #Mentorship #Insights #ClarityOverFear #ContinuousLearning

One truth stands out in my journey coaching Fortune 500 leaders: the most critical battleground isn't the market—it's your #mindset. “The only battle you truly have to win in this life is the one in your head.” My coach told me this advice for 20 years and to this day it still rings true. Your greatest opponent isn't your competition or market forces. It's your self-doubt, your limiting beliefs, your inner critic. ▶️ Ask yourself: • What limiting beliefs are holding me back from reaching my full potential? • How often does my inner critic win, and what's the cost to my leadership? • Am I treating myself with the same respect & confidence I'd offer my team? ▶️ Here's how I recommend you take action today: • Challenge negative self-talk daily – reframe criticism into a growth opportunity • Celebrate small wins to build confidence – keep a 'victory journal' • Practice self-compassion – treat yourself as you would a valued friend • Seek feedback to reality-check your self-perceptions • Visualize your success in vivid detail before big moments Remember, external challenges pale in comparison to internal ones. The world's most successful leaders aren't just skilled strategists – they're masters of their minds. By winning the battle in your head, you set the stage for victory in every other arena of life. What is Coaching? Key characteristics. The demand for coaching services has surged in professional fields. From leaders seeking to enhance their performance to teams aiming for better collaboration, coaching is a buzzword that has captured the attention of many. However, despite its growing popularity, there remains a significant amount of confusion about what coaching truly entails. Is coaching the same as mentoring, consulting, or therapy? What exactly does a coach do, and what roles do they avoid? In this article, I will aim to clarify the concept of coaching, clearly delineating what coaching is and what it isn’t, while also exploring the different key characteristics of coaching. What is Coaching? At its core, coaching is a collaborative partnership between a coach and a client (which could be an individual, team, or organization). The primary goal of this relationship is to unlock the client's potential and maximize their personal and professional performance. Unlike other service professions, coaching is not about providing answers or solutions. Instead, it involves guiding clients to discover their own solutions, fostering self-awareness, and promoting sustainable change. Key characteristics of Coaching: 1. Client-centered: Coaching is centered around the client’s goals, aspirations, and challenges. The coach does not impose their own agenda but instead facilitates the client’s journey toward their desired outcomes. 2. Non-directive: Unlike consulting or mentoring, coaching does not involve giving advice or instructions. The coach asks powerful questions, listens actively, and offers observations to help the client gain insights. 3. Future-focused: Coaching emphasizes forward movement and future possibilities rather than dwelling on past issues. The focus is on actionable steps that lead to growth and achievement. 4. Accountability: A significant aspect of coaching is holding the client accountable for their progress. The coach supports the client in setting goals and ensures they follow through on their commitments. 5. Confidentiality: Trust is fundamental in a coaching relationship. Coaches maintain strict confidentiality that creates a safe space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment. Ignite Your Career Trajectory: 💡 Propel Forward with Strategic Executive Coaching The term "Executive Coaching" for professional advancement in today's world often evokes thoughts of goal setting and achievement. Unfortunately, I must say, this perception can be limiting. Frequently, the goals set are either not sufficiently challenging, too easily attainable or reside in the realm of the unattainable. Moreover, this fixation on goal achievement can become an obsession, where goals are simply checked off like items on a to-do list. This approach is not conducive to true progress. Truly effective and purposeful executive coaching revolves around cultivating a personal mindset. It's about fostering an attitude, a fundamental state, that naturally leads to exploring new levels, new paths, and new perspectives. Therefore, I think anyone looking to advance their career through executive coaching pays special attention to selecting a coaching partner who can help them develop this personal mindset. This necessitates that the coach possess extensive, deep-rooted experience as a leader. Additionally, through training, experience, and supervision, they must have acquired the ability to accompany and support others in their development journey. Such a coach acts like a catalyst and a fellow traveller. They can help you achieve short-term goals AND secure long-term success. They will assist you in laying the groundwork upon which you can build your career sustainably and effectively. Don't be dazzled by glowing websites, certificates, and overly sweet testimonials. Venture out, engage with providers, and ask questions. Inquire about experience, methods, method variety, and how results can be achieved and measured. Assess if there's a good chemistry fit, and be ready to terminate the coaching relationship if you're dissatisfied. A reputable provider will take the time to sincerely address your inquiries and will never "talk you into" something. #career #executivecoaching #mindset

What is Coaching, Anyway? I am often asked this question. The truth is that coaching is a container term that encompasses many different approaches and styles. In this post, I'll discuss three main types of coaching: Transactional, Developmental, and Transformational. There are more, but these three give you an excellent framework. In general, transactional coaches are the most common type of coaches. It's mostly what you see here on LinkedIn. Transformational coaches are the least common. Transformational coaching is the most impactful form of coaching. It is often an ongoing process that develops in an intimate relationship with a coach and a coachee over a more extended period; it's less tangible than transactional coaching and not suited for the "here's what to do lists" you see on LinkedIn. Transactional Coaching This type of coaching is all about thinking and doing things differently. It's issue-focused, result-driven, and action-oriented. You set a goal upfront and work towards achieving it. Transactional coaching is excellent for tackling specific challenges or problems, and it's often used in business coaching. However, it only scratches the surface and doesn't delve too deep. Developmental Coaching This approach is all about growth and change. It's about raising self-awareness, expanding your creative capacity, and progressing in your life and in your work. Developmental coaching focuses on your beliefs, values, and behaviours, and it's a deeper layer than transactional coaching. Transformational Coaching This type of coaching is all about transformation and healing, and it's largely misunderstood. Most coaches who call themselves transformational coaches aren't offering transformational coaching Transformation is from caterpillar to butterfly; about new perspectives, new ways of being. It's about exploring who you are being and how you relate to yourself and the world. Transformational coaching involves deep introspection, radical honesty, and willingness to examine past experiences. It's a powerful approach that can lead to profound transformations and new possibilities in life and business. All three types of coaching have their strengths and capacities. Transactional coaching is excellent for tackling specific issues, developmental coaching is perfect for growth and change, and transformational coaching is ideal for deep, profound transformation. Which type of coaching resonates with you the most? Share your thoughts in the comments below! Please repost if you like this so others can also read it. #coaching #transactionalcoaching #developmentalcoaching #transformationalcoaching #personal growth #professionaldevelopment #leadership #selfawareness #healing #transformation
