Howdy guys Day 5: Understanding File Permissions in Linux Ever wondered how Linux controls access to files? File permissions are key! There are three user categories: owner, group, and others. Each has read, write, and execute permissions that can be granted or revoked using "chmod". For Example: - I created a file and used "ls -ltr" to view its details. - Permissions are broken down into owner, group, and others with read, write, and execute assigned for each. - "chown" changes ownership, "chgrp" changes group ownership, and "chmod" modifies permissions for others. #devops #cloudcomputing #linux #bash
