Why do SMEs need to strategise for the 21st century? Small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) need to plan for the long term to firstly, prepare for challenges and opportunities; and secondly, maintain a comparative market advantage. Directors and managers must ensure that appropriate resources; viz., intellectual (human) financial, technical, material and technical, are in place to facilitate relevant changes. Bosses must pay great attention external stakeholders such as consumers or customers, distributors and suppliers, governments, regulatory bodies along with related agencies and groups that are associated with business and industry. Overall, long range strategies can help firms to stay ‘ahead of the game’ when it comes to quality goods and services ‘on offer’.

Expert in helping SMEs win contracts with big companies and Government. Award-winnning Keynote Speaker, Author, Educator & Mentor. International Thought Leader of the Year 2022.
Spotlight on Innovation for Government Contracts Innovation is a game-changer in the business world, especially for securing government contracts. Governments seek out suppliers who offer creative solutions to complex problems, making this a prime opportunity for SMEs. By highlighting your innovative approach, you can stand out and demonstrate how your business solves issues more efficiently and cost-effectively than traditional methods. Start by showcasing your unique solutions in your proposals. Detail the research and development behind your products or services, and emphasise any patents or exclusive technologies you possess. Clearly explain the tangible benefits of your innovations, such as cost savings, efficiency improvements, or enhanced service delivery. This helps government agencies see the value you bring to the table. Additionally, fostering a culture of innovation within your company can give you an edge. Continuously seek improvements, adapt to changes, and encourage creativity among your team. Demonstrating this in your tender responses shows that your business is capable of evolving and meeting future challenges. By leveraging innovation, SMEs can not only win government contracts but also position themselves as key players in providing forward-thinking solutions. This approach can lead to long-term relationships and ongoing opportunities in the public sector. #Smallbusiness #GovernmentContract #Tenders #Community #Innovation #Contract #SMEs

🚀 Exciting Grant Opportunity Alert! 🚀 Are you an innovative SME looking to scale up? The Industry Growth Program might just be your next big leap forward! Administered by the Department of Industry, Science and Resources, this program is designed to support commercialisation and/or growth projects. Here’s what you need to know:💡 The program is similar to the former Entrepreneurs’ Programme, but realigned to the National Reconstruction Fund (NRF) priorities (www.nrf.gov.au) rather than the Growth Sectors. Applicants must demonstrate that their product is new, unique, or significantly different from previous products, processes, or services, or that it involves significant enhancements or developments of current products, processes, or services. Applicants to the program must go through the Advisory Service before being able to access grant opportunities. The Advisory Service is available to all eligible businesses, and involves a Program Adviser offering tailored advice to the SME on their commercialisation and/or growth strategies. Then, eligible businesses may apply for grants to support either early-stage commercialisation (up to $250,000) or commercialisation and growth (up to $5M), depending on the project’s stage and scale. Projects of up to 2 years will be supported, and matched contributions are required. These grants aim to assist with commercialisation and growth efforts, facilitating a path to new markets and enhanced operational capabilities. Could this program transform your innovative ideas into commercial successes? Contact us at Consulting & Implementation Services (CIS) today to help you navigate the process and maximise your chances of success – let's make your growth journey easier! 📈 https://lnkd.in/gP8GWjAb #IndustryGrowthProgram #InnovationGrants #SMEs #AustralianBusiness #Commercialisation #consulting #growth Greg Spinks
