Smith, the only undefeated HBCU team left in the season, has just broken into the Division II top 20 rankings—showcasing some of the best football talent in Division II and building momentum toward a CIAA championship run. 🏈 A Legacy of Excellence: Johnson C. Smith’s legacy stretches back to 1892, when its predecessor, Biddle Memorial Institute, played in the first Black college football game, defeating Livingstone College 5-0.
