It’s that time of year again! Our annual Google Year in Search campaign is my favorite time to reflect on the moments that captivated the world, and defined 2024. I am so moved by this year’s film, which shines a light on the Breakout Searches that captured our imagination, from the Olympians reaching new heights, to the artists taking the world by storm, to the everyday heroes making a difference. Take a look back at the remarkable year we had, and get your tissues ready! → https://goo.gle/4gpXNsw
Huge shoutout to Jeffrey Whipps, Jonathan Johnsongriffin, KK Walker, and a whole village that makes this campaign happen every year. You have raised the bar yet again.

Always look forward to this. Usually cry. Maybe I am all cried out. Great visuals, editing of course but missing a few things IMHO that deal with one of the toughest most consequential years of at least my lifetime. Yes, positivity is amazing, I’m an eternal optimist — but I know the year in search had some pretty bleak topics as well. We have a collective world issue and I just think it missed or was scared to touch on the hardest things. But, thank you Google for the tradition and expectation every year. That’s a brand feat! ❤️🙏
One way or another, Usher always finds a way to remain a cultural icon in the USA! When it comes to staying in the spotlight, Usher truly knows how to "let it burn" in the best way possible. 🔥
Wow, Lorraine, this campaign is such an emotional reflection of how far we've come. It's always incredible to witness the power of search in capturing the stories that defined our collective year, and 2024 clearly had many inspiring moments. Google continues to remind us of the magic of real-time connections and the power of curiosity. I'm excited to watch the film and celebrate those Olympians, artists, and everyday heroes with you!
Thanks to everyone who made this happen! Happy Searching ✨
