If you're working with a content writer, you may wonder if it's ever appropriate to ask for a rewrite. The short answer: yes. If the piece doesn’t fit the theme or topic you asked for, doesn’t exemplify your brand’s voice, or isn’t convincing, it's fair to ask for a rewrite in the early stages. However, if you’ve approved previous drafts, requesting a new piece isn't the right call. Instead, speak directly with your writer to understand where the miscommunication may be coming from. To avoid needing a rewrite, give your writer all the information they need before they start writing, including your mission statement, company values, target audience, and call to action. #ContentWriting #ContentTips

USE ACTIVE VOICE! 💡 Active voice in writing occurs when the subject of the sentence performs the action. This contrasts with passive voice, where the subject receives the action. Using active voice creates clearer, more direct sentences, enhancing readability and engagement. For example, instead of writing "The report was written by the team," you would write "The team wrote the report." This straightforward approach captures attention and makes your content more direct, dynamic and impactful. Find this tip useful? Why are little details crucial in content writing? 1️⃣ You lose trust if your readers find even a slight mistake. 2️⃣ A common punctuation blunder leads to misunderstanding. 3️⃣ Spelling mistakes even by accident lose the meaning. 4️⃣ Small steps combined make a huge difference. 5️⃣ Little errors will be highlighted more than your best work. (Common human tendency) 6️⃣ You don’t know which part resonates with whom, so your job is to try to create error-free and accurate content piece. What am I missing? 🚀 The Importance of First Drafts in Content Writing 🚀 📝 As content creators, we often underestimate the power of the first draft. It’s like the raw material we use to build our masterpiece. Here’s why it matters: 1. Exploration and Discovery: The first draft offers an extraordinary opportunity for exploring concepts freely and discovering new insights. Embrace the messiness—it’s where creativity thrives! 💡 2. Authentic Voice: Through those imperfect sentences and half-formed ideas, you find your authentic voice. It’s the unfiltered you, and that’s where the magic happens. 🎙️ 3. Overcoming Self-Doubt: Doubt creeps in during the first draft. But remember, it’s okay! Every writer faces it. Push through, knowing that revision and editing will transform your raw ideas into polished content. ✍️ So, fellow writers, let’s celebrate our messy drafts. They’re the stepping stones to brilliance! What if the "write like you talk" advice is actually sabotaging your content? .. .. There are over 100 other ways to include a "conversational tone" in your write-up, but I, personally, avoid mixing my talking and writing styles. ----------------------------------------- Comment "ME" or just DM if you need an extra pair of hands that can write: - Irresistible hooks and openers - Captions that keep readers glued - CTAs that drive engagement - Proofread your posts for errors & polish it - Create a content calendar that aligns with your goals #write #writing #writelikeyoutalk #writingtips #linkedin #linkedintips
