Don't overlook reaching out to customers - offer assistance in securing job sites or preparing for the storm. Remember to be there for them post-storm too. TACO Team Members Deliver Lifesaving Supplies to Asheville In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, which left much of Asheville, North Carolina without power and water, two TACO team members, Gene Bray and Billy Manus, stepped up to deliver crucial supplies and gasoline to aid the recovery efforts. They recorded a video of the damage and you can watch it here: https://lnkd.in/gv5ay9gG. Mike Kushner, Director of Sales & Marketing, and Bill Kushner, Business Unit Director at TACO Metals, were among those affected, staying in their neighboring Asheville homes when the storm hit. With the only road to their area blocked, they and most of their neighbors were stranded without power or water. As cleanup crews worked tirelessly to clear debris and downed trees, their fuel and supplies were running dangerously low – threatening to halt the recovery work. On the evening of September 28, a phone call to Pedro Rosa, Operations Manager at TACO’s Main Manufacturing & Central Distribution facility in Sparta, Tennessee, set a plan to deliver emergency supplies in motion. Rosa, Bray and Manus filled a 100-gallon tank with gasoline, gathered chainsaws, water, food and other critical supplies, and loaded everything into Bray’s truck. The next day, Bray and Manus began their journey to Asheville. What should have been a three-hour drive became a grueling nine-hour trek as they navigated around flooding, road closures, downed trees, and safety blockades. Along the way, emergency workers allowed them passage, recognizing the urgency of their mission. Upon arriving at the Kushners’ neighborhood, Bray and Manus distributed gasoline, food and supplies to the hardworking crews who were clearing roads to restore access and provide aid. Soon after, they made a second trip, delivering additional gasoline and supplies to ensure the efforts could continue. #TACOMarine #TACOMetals #HurricaneHelene #Helene #hurricanerecovery #emergencysupplies #lifesavingsupplies #Asheville #AshevilleNorthCarolina #hurricanedamage #marineindustry #boatingindustry
