I remember a time (prior to approx 9 years ago!) when most people didn’t involve themselves in politics because they don’t know anything about it, & they still don’t but it’s good people are beginning to want to understand. Fun fact; It’s not just one Person at the top whom is responsible for all that’s good or bad ! It’s a complex system democracy, with many variables and it takes real time for changes to take place. There are thousands and thousands of people in government with departments and branches that make up government. And that’s why it is important to have a leadership that is focused on a balanced approach with beneficial ways to improve our many different challenges and help keep peace in society. Without democracy there is no peace and nothing will be resolved.
A post from a long time ago comes to mind - "I'm not sure how to explain that you should care about other people". Not my original thought and I'm not sure who to give credit to.
There are many different reasons why people are challenged but not to have real compassion or empathy for others is one of those reasons, Right?! Writing a check isn’t necessarily the only answer because it’s complex but to assume the people whom have financial difficulty are one thing is not correct, it would be great if we could All just be more considerate of each other.. Remember None of us has chosen where we were Born…there are challenges at every economic level (there are people even at a very high level of earning with mental problems & addiction also, so it’s best not to label, in addition these are not the only reasons people are dealing with homelessness!) but not considering people without reasources for basic living, needs to be at least handled with compassion and not dismissal and judgment. * The huge transition the world recently went through is literally one of the main reasons for a large majority of peoples reversal of fortunes, in some cases people lost businesses therefore homes and livelihoods, it could have happened to literally Anyone...
I am pretty sure Elon's message is zbout the ADULTS that are now homeless. (The homeless # has skyrocketed in the last 4 years). I do not know who Elon gives his $$ to and cannot judge until I do. I know Elon employees thousands of people and pays more in taxes (as do other billionaires). Do not believe the TELL-U-VISION, research it.
Please tell me that's not real....
Hundreds of billions. The ignorance is just staggeringly stupid. Obviously "Chasten" has no idea how business works, and if he's so concerned, how come he's not giving his money? #Hypocrisy
Wow why didn't anybody else think of that, all we need to do is throw more money at the problem and presto, we can solve homelessness. In 2023, US Charities collected over a half trillion dollars , that's not including the 6.1 trillion dollars the US collected last year in taxes. Maybe there is something else going on here than a bunch of rich people (including George Soros) hoarding their wealth....
I can't imagine because I'm not a self absorbed ego maniac sending dog whistles to hateful people who need to feel like victims and blame others for their problems, for my own personal gain.
Because governments and NGO's have spent $billions for homelessness and awarded themselves high salaries and administration costs and didn't do anything for the "homeless". It's a mental health and drug addiction issue; a little education goes a long way: https://youtu.be/yDQ6CkM58Vw?si=Fbh4L_SEeWhbEgSG
