🚨Anthropic released the latest Claude 3 family of its most advanced multi-modal AI models this morning! This includes 3 different models, Claude 3 Haiku, Sonnet, and Opus, all with 200k context window. My quick highlights: 🧠 Emphasis on complex reasoning - the trend to focus the latest model advancements on complex reasoning continues with MMLU and GPQA benchmarks the top considered in performance measurement. 📋 Expanding model evaluation - in addition to the usual benchmarks, Anthropic shares additional evaluations including bias, refusals, and contextual recall. It's an important philosophy these models be safe and functional, not simply outperforms in benchmarks. 🦾 Outperforming peers - Clause 3 Opus, the top-tier model, outperforms it's OpenAI GPT-4 and Google Gemini Ultra peers across the 10 benchmarks evaluated. Notably, Meta's LLaMA 2 was not included as we await for them to make good on Zuckerberg's promise on LLaMA 3. 💰 Tiered pricing strategy - Offering an approach to scaffolding cost vs performance continues to be an important strategy for the major proprietary model providers. What are you most excited about in this announcement? #ai #generativeai #claude3 #anthropic

A couple of months ago Anthropic revealed the Claude 3: Haiku, Sonnet, and Opus. Imagine Haiku as your AI sprinter—quick & efficient! On the other hand, Opus, can debate if pineapple belongs on pizza? (Next step into deep reasoning ;)) As we advance AI for enterprise capabilities, it's crucial to ensure safety measures evolve too. This approach helps guide AI towards positive societal outcomes. How do you see AI impacting your business? Let’s discuss! The march of AI never slows. Today, Anthropic announced a new selection of punishingly fast/smart models in the Claude 3 model family: Opus (GPT4.0 beating), Haiku (Fast and performant), and Sonnet (somewhere in the middle). You can read more about all 3 on the press release - https://lnkd.in/gT_dyta5 What does this mean? The models are... * SMART: Their top model, Opus, outperforms the class leading GPT4 model across numerous evaluations. * FAST: Haiku is able to read a multimodal ARXIV paper across 10k tokens in < 3 seconds. * MULTIMODAL: Yep, it can see, and Opus appears more performant than GPT4 & Gemini Ultra * COMPLIANT: It is much less likely to refuse to comply with safe instruction * ACCURATE: lower hallucination rates (but not zero yet folks) * MEMORY-TASTIC: It already had great context window (200k, with option for 1m), and >99% recall across the entire window. When it comes to healthcare uses, all of the above will have their value. Smarter models could be more accurate in real world usage. Fast models can help with time sensitive work, such as translation/transcription. Huge multimodal medical records can be used as input, with better recall. My excitement comes from the competition, reduced costs, and ability to choose the right model for the right task. How about you? With OpenAI, Google and Anthropic now slugging it out for top honours, who's next to move (prediction: OpenAI with GPT4.5, around mid March to mark anniversary of GPT4)

Anthropic's Claude 3 raises the bar 🚀 In the rapidly evolving competitive landscape of #generativeAI, Anthropic's recent release of the #Claude3 family of models challenges OpenAI's dominance for the smartest #AI. Boasting superior performance across numerous benchmarks, the Opus version positions itself as a formidable challenger to OpenAI's #GPT4, claiming to achieve "near-human levels of comprehension and fluency on complex tasks, leading the frontier of general intelligence." So what are the #business implications? Will organizations rapidly adopt the use cases mentioned? #LLM #technology #innovation #competition https://lnkd.in/dy6mM6NX
