Be Grateful. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday because gratitude- giving, receiving, acknowledging, embracing it- is one of my guiding principles. As my season of reflection winds down, I realize that besides my given and chosen families, the majority of relationships of which I am most grateful were conceived, nurtured, and blossomed at or through work. So on the eve of this wonderful holiday when I have too many blessings to count, I want to say thank you.... - To someone who has always had my back and my best interest even (and especially) when I didn't know it : The Honorable Alexis Herman. - To someone who, for as long as I can remember, has coached me on succeeding in dual businesses of industry and marriage : Ann Fudge and the one and only Rich Fudge - To two people who covered me in kindness during a concentrated period of crazy: NAACP President Derrick Johnson and outgoing ELC Board Chair, Gale King I could rewrite this a hundred times with a hundred different names but today I want to thank Alexis, Ann, Derrick, and Gale. And if you have someone who has always had your back; mentored you forever; or, was just there when you needed them most--Express your gratitude. Say "thank you" and do it today because tomorrow is not promised. I often say WORK is what I do, not who I am, but the people I've met have certainly shaped me and for that and for them, I am grateful.
One of my leadership and style icons- wishing you and your family a happy thanksgiving 🙏🏻❤️🧿
And we in turn are exceedingly grateful to you 🙏🏼
I love this. Ever since I've known you, you've been big on gratitude. So grateful for you and your example! Happy Thanksgiving to you and family!
