Today, a long-standing member of our Kathleen Valley team will hang up his hard hat and transition to retirement. Marty R. Winch-Buist first arrived at Kathleen Valley in 2022, initially to establish water delivery to the project. His extensive expertise in health and safety quickly became evident and we invited him to lead the development of our safety culture and systems as Health and Safety Superintendent. He helped build a culture where workers feel empowered to prioritise their safety and wellbeing. He also became a good friend to those around him, known for offering guidance, sharing stories and helping to solve all sorts of problems. “Marty became an institution at Kathleen Valley - not just for his safety leadership, but for his extensive knowledge across many areas, including his book recommendations, leadership advice, and being our resident local history buff,” shared Work Health and Safety Manager Hayden Spencer. On behalf of everyone at Liontown, we thank Marty for his enormous contribution to our operation and wish him all the best for retirement. #LTR #Mining #Lithium #CriticalMinerals #Safety #WHS #KathleenValley

1moWell done Marty, I’m sure you will still flat out detecting and working hard out at the quarry with your young fella… I enjoyed all our chats over a meal at the mess hall during the past 12months. Take care and I’ll endeavour to call In at the quarry on way through southern cross. Cheers mate
