Deeply moved by this post. We need a green future! I have worked on renewable energy projects and I support all initiatives that require organizations in charge of debating these issues, such as COP28, the World Economic Forum or the World Bank, to commit to respecting treaties such as the Paris Agreement or the Kyoto Protocol, and to promote investments in the care of the ecosystem. I congratulate LinkedIn and all its followers for the support they have shown on issues of green origin. Let us take advantage of COP29 as an opportunity to promote environmental education and ensure that world leaders take concrete measures to address the climate crisis. We must take advantage of the upcoming meeting of the countries associated with COP29 to include issues such as the lack of green professionals in the debates. It is crucial to encourage organizations that are in charge of education in the world, such as universities, institutes or forums, to develop environmental education programs that prepare new generations to face the challenges of climate change.
very happy to read this and helpful
Insightful
Sadly LinkedIn is very limited to what you can show and Link. I know personally it probably contains less than 10% (closer to about 6%) of my qualifications and related skills. This an another good example of that lack of category and sections, these re-termed and re-branded skills that were previously deemed by HR and employment industries as unimportant even though quite a few of us pursued training anyways for ethics reasons, these "green skills". Many will notice how employment industry consensus pulls 180's every couple of years (sometimes every year) and the operate on like spaghetti thrown against the wall to see what sticks without addressing underlying trends and issues. I have probably 100 green skills and methods/tools I could list, but then the skills list would overflow and be useless to connect to the industries of focus thus limiting your search results to only green jobs and not where you can make the most impact. These skills were previously referred to as #Sustainability Skills which are more comprehensive and applicable. This promotion of green skills is an old concept and the reason there seems to be a shortage has more to do with a shortcoming in human resource methodology and tools than a shortage. #HR
LinkedIn's Green Skills Report 2024 highlights a critical gap between the demand for green talent and its supply, with nearly 1 in 5 green jobs at risk of going unfilled by 2030. Job seekers with green skills are 55% more likely to be hired, yet women and Gen Z remain underrepresented. As COP29 unfolds, urgent action is needed to expand green skills training, bridge workforce gaps, and ensure an inclusive transition to sustainability. Thank God the decision I made for my daughter to become an environmentalist, recognizing her interest in sustainable environments, is paying off.
I support this new improved ideology but the payment by Cryptocurrency is something the current administration in Nìgeria never encourage the youths for their online businesses but have to forge links by the used of fake identities just to enjoy their payment method. Only scammers recieve crypto payment in Nìgeria these days. All of my online payment are diverted to an unknown account never reflect into payment application. See the alert payed but to redeem it, application unaccepted which means the transaction is received by a scamming men in power.
