May I present the Perodua Alza car! If you ever find yourself in Malaysia, particularly in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, you will come across these hidden gems of cars for rent. Despite their modest 1.5L engine (HP of 100-150 pending model) and unassuming looks, the Perodua Alza proved to be a reliable workhorse for our travels, even conquering the challenging roads to Mt Kinabalu Park and Kundasang with ease. (1900m above sea level) Normally I would have looked for more familiar Japanese brands, but the Perodua Alza offered a low-cost effective alternative, with some of the models basically being rebadged cheaper Toyotas (as per google search). During our time in Sabah, this car exceeded our expectations, seamlessly navigating highways, mountain roads and some of the more rugged roads of West Sabah. If you're planning a trip to Malaysia and contemplating car hire, try exploring local brands like Perodua and it could be a rewarding choice that make the differenc in your budget. For logistics solutions to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, and beyond in South East Asia, ISD Logistics Solutions are on the ground and available. Reach out to [email protected] for all your logistical needs.

Always nice to understand historical context and reasons behind decisions to appreciate why they were made Documentation for posterity is definitely we need to better understand and build. Our present information system and potentially language has reached it's intended limits and the ability to extend beyond 2 to 3 generations would be an interesting field of study https://lnkd.in/gTucrPX7
Prime Minister Lawrence Wong's maiden National Day Rally speech has many policy reforms that are generating much discussion. But one thing that caught my attention was his announcement that Stadium Boulevard, which runs down the middle of the Sports Hub, will be fully pedestrianised. Folks may not know this but Stadium Boulevard runs along the path of Kallang Airport's old runway (as seen in the National Archives map). The airport operated from 1937 to 1955 before being replaced by Paya Lebar Airport (itself replaced by Changi in 1981). Trailblazing American female aviator Amelia Earhart landed at Kallang in 1937 and praised it as an "aviation miracle of the east". With the enhancements to the Sports Hub, we can hope Kallang will promote trailblazing in Singapore's sporting culture too. #Singapore #history #heritage #policy #aviation #sports
