My #SocialMedia Management Journey Back during my internship at BusinessDay Print Media, being part of the digital team gave me a golden opportunity to learn Social Media Management. At the print media, each social media platform had its own dedicated manager, allowing me to learn independently. It was here that I mastered the basics of Canva and video editing. I vividly recall the Instagram manager emphasizing the importance of these skills for effective social media management. While I was there, I was able to do visual storytelling for social media audience using tools like Typito and Canva. Increased views by 66% and followers by 18%. I Wrote captions for content on Instagram, Increased average saves on instagram saves by 20%. Being a social media enthusiast, I put my newfound skills into practice on my own page. As I utilized these skills, I noticed personal growth. I even enrolled in professional courses to further enhance my expertise. Because I love being in front of a camera,I ventured into content creation for my personal Instagram page (@inspirational_kellar). What was initially just for fun, soon became a lucrative side hustle. My content caught the attention of potential clients, which started landing me gigs without even applying! ✨ Balancing Quality vs. Quantity: A Daily Dilemma in Content Creation ✨ As part of my internship, one of my key responsibilities is uploading videos on TikTok for sound campaigns. Every day, I have a specific target to meet, which sometimes feels like a race against the clock ⏳. 📅 My Daily Routine: 👉 Plan and brainstorm content ideas that fit the audios for the sound campaigns. 👉 Create engaging TikTok videos, keeping up with trends. 👉 Upload the required number of videos to meet my daily target. However, here’s where I struggle. I always prioritize quality in my content – ensuring every post is engaging, relevant, and creative. But my manager places greater emphasis on quantity, aiming to maximize reach by uploading more frequently. 💭 This makes me wonder: Is focusing on quantity over quality really the most effective approach? While it's important to meet targets and maintain consistency, I believe quality should never be sacrificed entirely. Content that resonates deeply with the audience is often more impactful in the long run. How do you approach this balance in your work? I'd love to hear your thoughts! 💬 #ContentCreation #QualityVsQuantity #InternshipLife #TikTokMarketing #SocialMediaStrategy #DigitalMarketing #SoundCampaign

My Creativity Journey as a Digital Marketing Intern: Some time ago, a friend of mine shared an interesting experience about how he struggled to engage with a long content piece he saw on Instagram. He mentioned that the length made it hard for him to stay focused and fully grasp the message. This got me thinking about what might be missing in our content creation approach. In today's fast-paced digital world, creativity is key to capturing an audience's attention. Before creating content, it’s essential to ensure that it's engaging and concise. Let’s be real people have short attention spans and If the content doesn't grab attention quickly, it risks being overlooked. During my internship at a digital marketing agency, I learned this lesson firsthand. I faced some rejections on the initial scripts I crafted. Instead of feeling discouraged, I embraced constructive critiques. I realized that audiences crave engaging content, and any material I put out must showcase creativity to earn likes, comments, and attention. The entire process from writing the script to editing the video, choosing the right layout, using impactful text, and delivering the energy needed during filming is crucial. This experience led me to rethink my approach. I began conducting more research and developing innovative ideas for content creation. By thinking outside the box, crafting engaging scripts, and staying updated with trends, my creativity flourished. I was thrilled to see my ideas accepted more frequently as I honed my craft. This journey has opened my eyes to my potential as a creative person, and I’m excited to continue evolving. Remember, whether you’re creating content or exploring a new passion, creativity is the backbone of success! #DigitalMarketing #Creativity #Internship #ContentCreation #GrowthMindset .

Hey Connections! 👋 Thrilled to share that I just finished my first ever on-site Content Marketing experience at Media Mortar! ✨ After 12 weeks of immersion in the dynamic world of content creation, I'm leaving with a toolkit full of newfound confidence, creativity, and the ability to add that extra spark to content. ⚡️ Here’s what I’ve learned throughout my journey in the internship 👇 1. Working in a system - Working in a system that tracks whoever is accountable for a task, makes it easier to determine who’s working on priority tasks. Furthermore, implementing keywords to task knowing what ACTIONS to do was a clever way making everyone efficiently operate. 2. Don’t hesitate to ask for help when you’re not sure what to do - Being an introvert, asking for help on a task feels like a chore. But throughout my time in my internship, I’ve learned that some roadblocks or tasks cannot be done without help or assistance. 3. Social Media is such a gamechanger to a business - I’ve never realized how big of an impact, different activations can have to a business, and this realization hit me. Learning how strategic engagement can drive results was an eye-opener! Huge shoutout to the incredible Media Mortar team - Luke Crowley, Hannah Statham, Belinda Altadonna, Liz Ballantyne, Elise Hanslip, Liam Pert and Samantha Salmela, your guidance and patience have been invaluable. I couldn't have asked for a better learning environment! 🙌 Excited for the next chapter ahead and to continue applying everything I've learned. 🔥

🌟 Day 2 of the Digital Marketing Internship Programme woke up the creative beast. My creative juices are flowing! I gained so many insights, so here are some key takeaways: -Create a TikTok or Instagram and unleash your creativity. I started a TikTok about 2 weeks ago and am eager to create more work to expand my portfolio. The good news is that you don't need a big portfolio to simply begin crafting content. -Leala highlighted how mind mapping can help accumulate more ideas for a project. I crafted a mindmap by sharing my mood and insights from her lesson below. I had so much fun with it. 🗺 -Lastly, I wanted to highlight that creativity is highly subjective. Your wild idea you are scared to share could go viral or be memorable for decades. Reminder- no idea is a bad idea, just bad execution; therefore, keep pitching ideas to your clients! STAY TUNED: Lucy guided us in our creativity by showing us how to use Adobe Express. I plan to post fun content using Adobe Express. I truly can't wait to try it and show you!! 💙 Joanne shed light on how to begin a marketing campaign with food analogies, and boy was I starving by the end, but ended with pages full of notes to implement. 🌮 🍕 A special thanks to Leala Jackson, Olivia Mae Hanlon, Lucy Street, Joanne Sanni, and Girls in Marketing, and cheers to getting our creative juices flowing! 🎉 #DMIP2024 #GirlsinMarketing #DigitalMarketing #Motivated #Creative #Inspired #Grateful
