📢 𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗦𝗧𝗨𝗗𝗬 & 𝗗𝗔𝗦𝗛𝗕𝗢𝗔𝗥𝗗: 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 The foundations for reprocessing single-use devices are established under #MDR Article 17 and further defined by EU countries. A new study, along with an associated dashboard, on the implementation of this article has been published: https://lnkd.in/dripJiZh. Through dedicated #surveys, this study collects data from various #stakeholders (30 competent authorities, 38 notified bodies, 2 reprocessors, and 19 health institutions reprocessing single-use devices). The results of the study can be visualized in a publicly accessible #dashboard. 🔑 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲 ☑ Identification of suitable products and clear tracking systems were chosen as the most effective actions to optimize the reprocessing of SUDs. ☑ Only 33% of the competent authorities (10 out of 27 countries) currently permit the reprocessing of SUDs. ☑ Health risks and changes to the device during reprocessing are among the most common obstacles identified by #competentauthorities for reprocessing. ☑ A small number of #notifiedbodies are certifying reprocessed SUDs (15.79%). Of these, only 2 have received applications, and no certificates have been issued. The primary reason for not certifying reprocessed SUDs or compliance with the CS was the notified body not being designated or reprocessing not being permitted. ☑ The 2 #manufacturers that participated in the survey are SMEs. ☑ Regarding #healthinstitutions, half of the respondents were not reprocessing, a quarter were planning to reprocess, and only the remaining 21 were currently reprocessing. The number of respondents is still low, particularly when it comes to manufacturers and health institutions. However, we hope to see more responses in the next version of the dashboard. In the Power BI project, we utilize two key dataset "inpatient.csv" and "outpatient.csv", to gain comprehensive insights into healthcare service delivery. This dataset enables us to analyze hospital utilization patterns, track patient outcomes, and assess the financial performance of inpatient services. By leveraging this information, healthcare administrators can make informed decisions to optimize resource allocation, improve patient care, and enhance operational efficiency. By combining the insights gleaned from both "inpatient.csv" and "outpatient.csv" datasets within the Power BI platform, our project offers a holistic view of healthcare service delivery. This comprehensive understanding enables stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement, implement targeted interventions, and drive positive outcomes for both patients and healthcare providers.
