📣 According to a Gallup poll conducted in 2020, only 19% of Black Americans expressed a "great deal" or "quite a lot" of confidence in the police, compared to 56% of White Americans. We empower youth and provide resources to overcome these challenges. Support our mission by making a donation and fostering a more equitable relationship between young people and law enforcement. 💪🌟 For more information on how we are working towards building trust and bridging the gap, check out the first comment. #SupportYouth #Empowerment #CommunityEngagement #LawEnforcement #Equity #PoliceConfidence

It was an absolute privilege to attend the inaugural Racial Justice Conference. My sincere appreciation to Sarah Ibrahim for bringing such powerful voices together and establishing the necessary Racial Justice Centre. I am grateful to Arlou A. for her invitation, mentorship, and her consistent hard work in this space. It is impossible to summarise the mighty words spoken at the conference, alas, these were some of what I had the privilege of reflecting upon: 1. Understanding Systemic Racism: Recognising that racism goes beyond individual acts and is ingrained in societal structures, leading to unequal opportunities and outcomes based on race. 2. Embracing Intersectionality: Acknowledging that individuals can face multiple forms of discrimination based on intersecting identities like race, gender, and class. 3. Grasping Privilege: Realising the advantages certain groups have due to their race and understanding the importance of using that privilege to advocate for marginalised communities. 4. Practicing Allyship: Learning to actively listen to marginalised voices, educate oneself, and take action to support and amplify those voices. 5. Promoting Empowerment: Encouraging marginalised communities to reclaim their power and advocate for policies that promote equity and inclusion. 6. Building Community: Fostering connections and solidarity among individuals committed to racial justice, creating spaces for dialogue, collaboration, and collective action.
🌟What a day! We gathered to explore bold strategies that pave the way for a future where everyone can live and thrive in a world free from racism. Our purpose is clear: to eliminate racism and racial injustice using the legal system, and education for transformation! Email us and let us know if you enjoyed the conference! Info@racialjustice.au - Please donate and support us to keep pushing for change and driving these crucial conversations forward! #RJC #RacialJusticeConference

Here at #SerenityAndGraceHealthcare we value you! Baltimore's strength has always been its people, and there's no denying that fact! Black families are the backbone of this city, but far too many are struggling with homelessness. We can't talk about Black empowerment without addressing the crisis of unhoused families. Housing instability disproportionately affects Black Baltimoreans, perpetuating cycles of poverty and limiting opportunities. What can we do? Amplify Black voices: Support organizations led by Black Baltimoreans who are working on solutions. Advocate for change: Demand that policymakers prioritize affordable housing initiatives that address racial disparities. Give back: Volunteer or donate to organizations that provide critical services to unhoused families. Together, we can empower Baltimore's Black community by ensuring that every family has a safe and stable place to call home. #BlackEmpowerment #Baltimore #HousingJustice

We are deeply saddened and outraged by the tragic death of Sonya Massey, a 36-year-old African American woman, who was unjustly killed in her home by police officers. This incident, captured on body camera, is yet another stark reminder of the systemic issues plaguing our society. We cannot afford to remain silent when such injustices occur. Each of us has a role to play in advocating for change and ensuring that every individual, regardless of their race, is treated with the dignity and respect they deserve. What if this was your mother, sister, daughter, niece, or friend? At Nonprofit Fundraising Management (NFM), we are committed to supporting efforts that address these critical issues—it’s one of the primary reasons we do what we do: support Black Churches in their efforts to increase education, health, prosperity, safety, and growth in their communities and beyond. We believe in the power of community action and the importance of standing together against injustice. How You Can Help Fight for Justice! - Get Involved: Join local advocacy groups and participate in peaceful protests. - Raise Awareness: Use your voice on social media and in your community to highlight these injustices. - Support Change: Donate to and volunteer for organizations dedicated to reforming the criminal justice system and supporting victims' families. By coming together, we can drive the change needed to prevent such tragedies in the future. Let's honor Sonya Massey by committing to justice and equality for all. #JusticeForSonya #EndPoliceBrutality #NFMforChange #BlackLivesMatter #DoSomething

🚨 This isn't just a cultural, social, and evolutionary setback; it's a direct challenge to personal freedoms and women's rights. Iowa faces a critical moment. Our state's laws are on the brink of setting a precedent that punishes women for their choices, regardless of their circumstances. At Iowans for Health Liberty, we believe that no one should be penalized for decisions about their own body. It's time to rally, to advocate, and to ensure our voices are heard loud and clear. Stand with us. Stand for choice. Stand for the rights of all women in Iowa to make decisions about their bodies without fear of punishment. I've been reading, and re-reading, the brief on Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children from the SaltExchange and there is a lot of good info in there. The report is well articulated and well referenced. A key point I pulled out of there that many well meaning organizations competing for donations and grants need to both understand and embrace is that a wholistic approach to the problem of Human Trafficking is needed. From education of organizations and individuals, to identifying and prosecuting promoters of human trafficking, to rescuing those being trafficked and removing CSAM from the internet, to aftercare. Every piece matters and organizations working for good in this space need to complement and support each other. https://lnkd.in/g6EUNg2Y How to Improve our Society! Dos and Don’ts! *** -We should work to promote education in whatever way possible! -Stand up for liberty and freedom whenever and wherever we see oppression and injustice! -Defend equality, and always take a firm stand. Do not remain silent! -Take responsibility of our own actions! -Stay informed on current events. Be impartial, objectively analyze the situation, and try to discern patterns and hidden relationships/ messages/ meanings! -Vote. No if’s and but’s. We must go out and cast our vote, even if we know that oppressors will steal our vote! -Hold leaders accountable. Our leaders become our servants after assuming office. So, remember, we are their employer! -Support charitable events in whatever capacity we can. If we are unable to donate, then we should promote the cause, and support those who organize such events and organizations! -Support voluntary activities whenever we can. If we can’t participate, then we should show our appreciation for volunteers! -Be kind, civil and considerate. There is no special occasion to exhibit these qualities! We should make it part of our personality! -We need to participate! -Come up with good arguments, and respect good counterarguments. Don’t feel offended, but if someone is discourteous, speak up, don’t hold back! -And if someone tells you about your rude behavior, don’t feel bad! -Be generous! -Be vocal and always defend the foundational principles of justice and merit. This is non-negotiable, and is the least we can do to justify our existence! Cheers!
