Stop frustrating your website visitors by using things like mobile 3-line menus on desktop website layouts. Stop losing visitors by putting social media links at the top of your pages. Stop talking all about yourself in your copy and focus on the reader instead. The list could go on - these are three simple things that you really need to consider with your website - and if your designer or agency suggests otherwise, question whether they are the experts I'm sure they describe themselves as. What else should I add to this list of things to stop doing with websites?
I actually somewhat disagree with this post... Yes I dislike mobile menus on desktop, I'll agree on this point. The other two points are somewhat, lacking justification? I highly doubt anyone is going to lose a site visitor through having a social media icon at the top of their page... What's the problem there? If anything you could argue it may be of use in some industries? (eg. An event/landing page for conference). Same with regards to the copy, whilst you want to get across the pain points and offer a solution, I think you do need to speak briefly about yourself - what makes you the right choice/authority? Thoughts?
I never thought that putting social media links at the top of the website would amount to losing visitors... or do you mean to say "Stop losing visitors by 'NOT' putting social media links at the top of your pages."? A little more light will go a long way, Chris, thanks.
Please describe what are three things that we need to do.
Burger menus are the worst
