I had the privilege to sit in conversation with Michael Stanley-Jones as part of the #GreenTruth Podcast series. We dove deep into several critical topics that shape our sustainable future, something I continuously explore as part of my work with the #QuTii TruthLibrary.
Here’s a quick rundown:
1. Tri-Cornered Sustainability: Environmental, Social, and Economic Dimensions
Understanding the interconnectedness of environmental, social, and economic factors and how they form the backbone of true sustainability. Each dimension is vital, and neglecting one can undermine our efforts to achieve a sustainable future.
2. The Importance of Sustainable Fashion: It's very much about systemic change in production, supply chains, and consumption patterns.
3. Building Local Relationships for Impactful Change
Global change starts with local action. Catalyzing on sustainable initiatives resonates on a global scale.
4. Don't neglect the neighborhood Level
Simple initiatives like community gardens, local recycling programs, and neighborhood clean-ups can have a ripple effect, inspiring broader environmental stewardship.
5. The Hidden Danger of Polyester Clothing
Did you know that polyester clothing poses a hidden danger to our environment?
6. Unknown Superfund Sites
Many of us are unaware of the hazardous waste sites known as Superfund sites scattered across the country.
There was much more in our 30 minutes chat, a massive thank you Michael for sharing your thoughts!

3moWe supplied accessories to a company called Cihangir Tekstil together with a company called Vogue Sourcing, which follows Next's production in Istanbul. They did not pay for the product they bought for our 6 months of labor and caused us great harm by not taking most of the orders they gave. We forwarded the issue to Next, but they did not help in any way. I guess Next does not mind selling products that are not paid for. I want to make my voice heard here and I expect support from you, our valued consumers.
