Our entire thinking is based on various forms of cognitive biases, it only makes sense to also know tools to break thinking patterns in order to expand our world outlook and learn to see things differently. Here is a drawing exercise that will help you do that. It's called upside down drawing, also known as the Picasso exercise. The main idea of the exercise is that you create the work while looking at it from an inverted perspective. Just like that, upside down. Forget that you are looking at a flipped image. Instead, concentrate on the abstract elements of the artwork—shapes, colors, and forms— without getting caught up in its representational aspects. When you're done, turn it the right way round, you’ll be pleased to see how well you did! Give it a try and let me know how it goes. The image is Igor Stravinsky drawn by Picasso. #CognitiveBiases, #UpsideDownDrawing, #PicassoExercise, #CreativeThinking, #PerspectiveShift, #AbstractArt, #ArtExercise
