Our entire thinking is based on various forms of cognitive biases, it only makes sense to also know tools to break thinking patterns in order to expand our world outlook and learn to see things differently. Here is a drawing exercise that will help you do that. It's called upside down drawing, also known as the Picasso exercise. The main idea of the exercise is that you create the work while looking at it from an inverted perspective. Just like that, upside down. Forget that you are looking at a flipped image. Instead, concentrate on the abstract elements of the artwork—shapes, colors, and forms— without getting caught up in its representational aspects. When you're done, turn it the right way round, you’ll be pleased to see how well you did! Give it a try and let me know how it goes. The image is Igor Stravinsky drawn by Picasso. #CognitiveBiases, #UpsideDownDrawing, #PicassoExercise, #CreativeThinking, #PerspectiveShift, #AbstractArt, #ArtExercise

"Grumpiness" by Jakub Kreft is a striking piece that delves deep into the realms of human emotion through the lens of automatism. Created using Kreft's signature technique of automatic drawing, this #artwork captures the raw and unfiltered essence of irritability and dissatisfaction. The piece features an intricate interplay of chaotic lines and forms, which seem to emanate directly from the artist’s subconscious, bypassing rational thought. The use of dark, brooding colors enhances the sense of unease and agitation, reflecting the artist's exploration of the emotional turmoil that often lies hidden beneath the surface of everyday life. In "Grumpiness," #Kreft masterfully portrays the complexity of this common yet often overlooked emotional state. The abstract composition allows viewers to project their own feelings and interpretations onto the work, making it a deeply personal experience for each observer. The artwork’s spontaneous and unrestrained style invites the audience to confront their own moments of irritability and introspection, making "Grumpiness" not just a visual spectacle but a catalyst for emotional reflection. Kreft's ability to convey such a nuanced emotion through abstract forms underscores his belief in the unconscious as a vital source of creativity. This piece stands as a testament to his skill in translating the intangible into a compelling visual narrative. #investment

Asking the right questions with the subtle art of formulating them. The question is the core of perception, action, and intention. Whether it's "take your place" or "find your place," the focus isn't just about physically or metaphorically occupying a position. It's about the internal process: how you see, how you think, and how you act based on the questions you ask yourself. The right question can completely change the course of your journey, shifting your focus from the answer to the exploration of meaning itself. You emphasize not just the phrasing but also the intent and the mental precision behind each word used. The subtlety in processing is akin to quantum theory, where even the smallest shift in perception can create massive changes in reality. Consider the story of a sculptor. The sculptor, tasked with carving a statue from a massive block of marble, doesn’t set out to create the statue by sheer force. Instead, the sculptor asks: What part of this stone is not the statue? Every chisel strike is guided not by finding the perfect piece but by continuously asking the right question and Removing what doesn’t belong The focus is on the process, not the result. The sculptor trusts that, with the right questions, the answer (the statue) will naturally emerge. The key here is shifting from a mindset of seeking answers to finding the right questions. In life, too often we obsess over answers. We look outside ourselves, into society, for predefined solutions. But the deeper you go, the more you realize it was never about finding usual patterns or predefined ones. It is with the process that shapes your entire journey. That is why asking the right questions is primary and lead to what in the first place made you alive for an exact purpose. This approach leads us to understand that clarity often arises not from what we find but from what we learn to ask, switching the game from answering to questioning. By becoming the "atom," you enter a space of pure awareness, where every inquiry subtly changes your perception, shaping how you move through life. Behind my broken window (jz.digitalart)

Art is the soul’s expression, a visual language that conveys emotions, ideas, and experiences. It transcends words, allowing the subconscious to speak through color, form, and texture. An artist is a translator of inner worlds, transforming thoughts into tangible creations. They explore the psyche, uncovering layers of human experience, while inviting others to connect, reflect, and discover meaning within the art. Through this creative process, both artist and viewer embark on a journey of self-awareness and emotional depth.

"Tearful confession raw truth, no turning back..." KONKRETION In this series of sculptures and images, Tille makes the abstract signals of thought concrete. The process begins with EEG recordings of his own mind and that of others as their thoughts travel to the subjects they find personally relevant. Tille interrogates the electrical waves for the most interesting patterns and then converts them into a three-dimensional shape, forming the basis for Konkretion. Humankind’s advancements could be roughly summarized as the process of turning thoughts to things, and yet our minds are often filled with passing ideas which, we say, do not matter. The stream of consciousness is a well from which we draw, choosing to act upon some thoughts and choosing to ignore others. This selection of thoughts, combined with the delay between its origin and materialization, is what gives us the gift of intention. Yet, how many of our actions through a day are performed with so much purpose? Each work from Konkretion brings forth one or more thoughts, the contents of which remain mysterious. Captured in an undulating form, the brain waves are not precisely readable to us as viewers. They therefore become symbols of our agency, as well as the profound unknowability of others’ minds. On a blank screen, with just a pen in hand, I set out to create something simple yet profound ,a circle, drawn freehand. At first glance, it’s just a circle. But as I practiced, refining each curve, it started to feel different. Almost godly in its simplicity, with no beginning, no end, a symbol open to interpretation. It reminded me of Van Gogh, who poured emotion and meaning into his abstract brushstrokes, leaving us to find our own stories in his art. Now, I’m no Van Gogh, but this circle became my own little masterpiece. To me, it represents effort, patience, and the endless pursuit of something greater. Yet, there was something oddly fascinating about the process. Every attempt was a lesson in control, focus, and resilience. Slowly, I began to see the parallels with life. Isn’t life like this blank sheet? We start with a vision, an idea of what 'perfection' looks like. But the first attempts often fall short. Mistakes happen, lines go astray, and it’s tempting to give up. But I didn’t. I practiced. Day after day, drawing circles, refining my technique. My wrist grew steadier, my eye sharper. With each attempt, the circle became less of a scribble and more of a masterpiece. And one day, there it was, a near-perfect circle, drawn freehand. It wasn’t just a drawing. It was a reminder that perseverance can turn imperfection into art. (Also it made the kid inside me proud) This isn’t about circles; it’s about life, skills, and goals. The journey to mastery is never a straight line, or in this case, a perfect curve. But every attempt, no matter how flawed, brings us closer. Like any abstract art, its meaning is for you to decide. Is it a symbol of perfection? Infinity? Or perhaps just a simple reminder that even the smallest creations can hold the deepest meanings? Here’s my circle, my abstract art. What does it say to you? #Mondaymornings

As an artist, my creative drive stems from constantly reshaping and redefining the context of my presentations. It's about infusing my character and unique perspective into every piece, to the point where my work becomes the polestar that delineates my artistic lineage. https://lnkd.in/eKZsda7C Through this constant process of reinvention and refinement, I not only evolve as an artist but also uncover new facets of myself. Each piece becomes a reflection of my journey, capturing moments of introspection, growth, and self-discovery. In essence, my art is not just a form of expression; it's a journey of self-exploration and revelation, where every creation becomes a testament to my innermost thoughts and emotions. It's a metacognitive journey through my mind as I perfect the art of thinking about my own thinking. Each performance has been an opportunity for me to weave layers of meaning and depth, allowing my true essence to shine through. I’ve never been afraid to be irreverent and outspoken about the atrocities that I have witnessed on this floating mental institution in space.
