Lhyfe introduces online marketplace to buy and sell green hydrogen. By Edward Laity Lhyfe has launched the first Green Hydrogen Marketplace designed for buying and selling green-certified hydrogen online. Via its online portal Lhyfe Heroes, the first phase of the marketplace will enable players boasting transport solutions to source green hydrogen from referenced production sites and producers across Europe. Once past its first phase, H2 View understands the solution will be available to all hydrogen buyers needing deliveries to fuel stations or logistic centres. A Lhyfe statement claimed more features will be added over the https://lnkd.in/dh5mwx9C

Due to the relatively low energy density of #hydrogen in its gaseous state, it proves to be more economically advantageous, transporting it in liquid or solid form, or coupled with specific carriers. In the Amsterdam region, we focus on carriers that best fit infrastructure capabilities and safety standards. Port of Amsterdam is actively developing several projects around these carriers: #PROJECTS ✅ Project EOS involves importing green hydrogen in liquid form, considering the Sunoco Amsterdam Terminal as a potential location. ✅ Evos and Hydrogenious LOHC are working on a supply chain for importing hydrogen via liquid organic carriers, LOHCs. ✅ Electriq is exploring the use of potassium borohydride as a solid hydrogen carrier. Read more about how we are making step-by-step progress in propelling the future of hydrogen import to the port of Amsterdam! 👉 https://lnkd.in/gb7JU5qX

We have recently participated in the 37th edition of the Nitrogen + Syngas Conference in Gothenburg, one of the largest industry gatherings worldwide. Our Senior Urea Technology Lead, Luca Edoardo Viganò, highlighted our adaptation of Snamprogetti Urea technology to meet the demand for compact, cost-effective plants capable of utilizing green hydrogen and captured CO2. He also discussed our latest advancements in low-carbon solutions, including #Bluenzyme for CO2 capture and industrialised solutions for #greenhydrogen production. The conference thus served as a platform to showcase our dedication to innovation and sustainability, offering green and blue solutions to meet the industry's needs and achieve Net Zero emissions. 👉 #SaveTheDate for future Saipem events: https://lnkd.in/d-Bxs7G3 #Saipem #CRUnitrogen #Innovation #Sustainability #EngineeringForASustainableFuture

The collaboration mainly focuses on decarbonising the company's operations to achieve its sustainability goals. Initially, we supported Peterson’s transition to ChangeXL, an XBEE enzyme-based fuel improver, achieving a total of 13% reduction in fuel consumption during dynamic positioning and 10% on various voyages. In November 2023, Peterson shifted to the GoodFuels HVO20 blend for some SNSPOOL customers, thus achieving a CO2 emission reduction of 31% by February 2024. This roughly accounts for 5100 MT of CO2 reduction year-over-year. “We are proud to support Peterson’s ambitious journey towards net-zero. Using our team's technical expertise, we are excited to help Peterson advance their decarbonisation efforts, including transitioning to higher concentration biofuel blends such as GoodFuels HVO40, in the coming months.”, says Jeroen van Essen, Commercial Director at FincoEnergies → Read the full blog article 👉 https://lnkd.in/dxSavvNg #GoodFuels #Decarbonisation #Biofuels #BetterWorld #Partnerships

#GlobalProjectTracker insight 6/10: Green ammonia drives a tipping point for hydrogen The green ammonia sector is showing remarkable progress. With 42% of 2030 targets already financed or operational, this sector is leading the way for green hydrogen production. As green ammonia scales, it can drive down costs for other sectors reliant on hydrogen, including steel, shipping, and aviation. In Brazil, Ceará's Port of Pecém is emerging as a hub for green hydrogen projects, while India continues to lead with federal incentives and mandates for fertiliser production. These developments could unlock a global cost cascade, accelerating decarbonisation across heavy industries. This is insight 6 of 10 from our latest report – uncovering sectoral momentum and opportunities for #decarbonisation. Another milestone towards decarbonisation. Producing the ammonia for the first ever commercial bulk shipment of certified low carbon ammonia enabled by ccs.
We’ve delivered the world’s first commercial bulk shipment of certified low-carbon ammonia enabled by carbon capture and storage technology. The Fertiglobe-produced cargo will be used for clean power generation by our friends at Mitsui & Co., Ltd. in Japan, marking a milestone in our efforts to support the decarbonization of our customers. Ammonia is a carrier fuel for hydrogen, which emits no carbon dioxide at point of use. We’ll continue to develop low-carbon value chains with partners to capitalize on the key roles hydrogen and ammonia can play in the energy transition.
