In the rapidly evolving landscape of commercial transportation, hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles (H2FCVs) are emerging as a pivotal force in driving sustainable innovation forward. As the President of PermanTech, I've witnessed firsthand the transformative potential of H2FCVs in revolutionizing long-haul trucking, offering a beacon of hope for a greener future. H2FCVs stand out for their zero-tailpipe emissions and their ability to refuel quickly, addressing two of the most pressing concerns in the transportation sector today: environmental impact and operational efficiency. However, the journey towards widespread H2FCV adoption is not without its challenges. The high cost of hydrogen fuel and the need for more robust infrastructure are significant hurdles that must be overcome. Despite these obstacles, the momentum behind H2FCVs is undeniable. Commercial vehicle enterprises that engage proactively with this technology, through participation in pilot programs and strategic investments, are not only showcasing environmental leadership but are also future-proofing their operations against the inevitable shift towards sustainable mobility solutions. For those of us in the truck and bus manufacturing industry, as well as those involved in intelligent transportation systems, vehicle infrastructure equipment, and vehicle technology, the message is clear: the time to act is now. By embracing H2FCVs, we can lead the charge towards a more sustainable, efficient, and environmentally friendly future in long-haul transportation. I encourage my peers and colleagues to explore the potential of H2FCVs for their operations. Let's leverage our collective expertise in engineering, vehicle innovation, and technology growth to overcome the current barriers and pave the way for a sustainable transportation ecosystem. Feel free to like, share, and comment below. Let's drive the conversation forward and explore how we can collectively contribute to a sustainable future. White Logistics has agreed to include trucks supplied by HVS (Hydrogen Vehicle Systems) within its fleet, on a trial basis. The purpose of this will be for White Logistics to explore the use of the trucks within its fleet and to decide if they would be a good and effective method of helping White Logistics to decarbonise. The plan for this trial run, is for the HGVs to be added into White Logistics fleet, which currently contains more than one hundred and fifty delivery vehicles and trailers. White Logistics is doing this, because their aim to decarbonise could be achieved through the use of these vehicles. The article below portrays a partnership between two companies, which is occurring due to their interest in helping industries decarbonise. They also show interest in expanding the decarbonisation market, through using more hydrogen vehicles. Interested in attending The World’s largest conference dedicated to Hydrogen? Driving the Future of Hydrogen Mobility at IAA Transportation 2024! Last month, I went to the IAA TRANSPORTATION 2024 in Hanover and felt so energized by the groundbreaking innovations in hydrogen trucks I saw! 💡 Highlights : MAN Truck & Bus SE hydrogen powered hTGX truck, a true game-changer that took home the Truck Innovation Award 2025!🏆 Stellantis stepping up their hydrogen game with new utility vehicles, showing that hydrogen isn’t just for trucks, it’s shaping every corner of transportation. At TEAL Mobility, the joint venture between TotalEnergies and Air Liquide, we’re on a mission to turn these innovations into reality. With 12 hydrogen stations already up and running across Europe and a passionate team, we’re building the infrastructure to drive this hydrogen revolution forward. We’re not just talking about the future. We’re making it happen, and the road ahead has never been more exciting. #IAATransportation2024 #TEALMobility #HydrogenMobility

➡️ The advent of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) has fundamentally reshaped our approach to 👉 automotive mobility, expanding the dialogue around sustainable transportation. ➡️ BEVs introduce an entirely distinct supply chain, emphasizing both the need and possibility for/of circularity, recycling, and ethical sourcing, contrasting starkly with the fossil fuel-based infrastructure of traditional vehicles. ➡️ This divergence allows for a more nuanced comparison of environmental impacts, from production to end-of-life. And the divergence also demands such a nuanced comparison. ➡️ BEVs, powered by highly efficient, potentially fossil-free electricity, present an alternative to combustion engines reliant on fossil fuels or biofuels. This dichotomy broadens the demand on our analytical framework, enabling a comprehensive lifecycle analysis of both vehicle types. ➡️ As part of the lifecycle discussion the bidirectional coupling to electricity supply and demand opens totally new options for sector coupling. ➡️ Discussions now encompass supply chain intricacies, sourcing ethics, and the overall environmental footprint, highlighting that no single solution is universally optimal. ➡️ The choice between BEVs and combustion vehicles is application-dependent, fostering a richer, more sophisticated discourse on automotive mobility. This is the more nuanced and prosaic version of a text that maybe created more emotions than necessary: https://lnkd.in/d_VbghM6 #ww520 #ww254 #technology #markets #innovation #future #strategy

7 days filled with excitement, new ideas, and enriching discussions! We have wrapped up at IAA TRANSPORTATION, and one thing is certainly clear: the #MobilityRevolution is happening, and it is here to stay. Our key takeaways: -While battery-electric trucks will play a crucial role in the transformation of transportation, #hydrogen-powered vehicles must be increasingly prioritised. -Hydrogen is key for segments which cannot be electrified and where grid constraints exist. -It is particularly relevant for longer distances and heavy loads. -In the the right set up hydrogen-fuelled vehicles can be just as economically feasible as other alternative drives. A few decades ago, green mobility seemed far from reality, but today we can confidently say that both #H2 and #electromobility are actively reshaping the mobility space. This remarkable event wouldn't have been possible without the collective effort of our incredible team Stefan Stollenwerk, Omaima Ettouri, Susann Klatte, Patrick Palmowski and our partner E.ON Drive. As we’d say here, never Le(t)go of your dreams! :) #Mobility #Transportation #EON #Hydrogen #Lego #Resato #EONDrive

🇪🇸 HVS (Hydrogen Vehicle Systems) signs agreement with Spanish KOPALA INTERNATIONAL to supply hydrogen-based trucks It is the very first contract dealing with left-hand drive vehicles for HVS. Indeed, the adoption of Hydrogen in the heavy goods sector is a strategic objective of the Spanish government. In a draft of its national energy and climate plan until 2030, Spain has a target of 11 gigawatts of electrolyser capacity for green hydrogen production, which is the highest in all of Europe. #hydrogen #trucks #spain https://lnkd.in/e_5-7uhQ
