🔍 ** What are Key Components of a Multi-Agent System ** 🔍 Irrespective of exact implementation, the core components of these agents can be simplified into two main areas (see diagram below): 1. **Agent Capabilities** 🛠️ - [Tools] **Acting**: Utilizing tools and executing tasks. - [Memory] **Adapting**: Learning and recalling information. - [Planning] **Reasoning**: Planning, deducing, etc. 2. **Agent Interactions** 🤝 - **Orchestration**: The sequence in which agents act as tasks progress and how they communicate (send/receive messages). These capabilities and interaction methods are then driven by generative AI models. For instance, the selection of the right tool, planning, determining how and when to reuse previous data in short/long term memory, defining action order/sequences can be driven by an AI model. Tools like #autogen led by @chiwang and the broader team make implementing these concepts relatively straightforward. The problem with AI products? They're too inconsistent—and consistency is such an important property of any great product. Think about it... an AI product isn't like, say, a calculator. No matter what you input—whether it's a simple equation like "2 + 2" or something complex like "sin(45) × 3.14"—you always know the result will be correct. Calculators deliver precise, reliable answers every single time, without fail. 5⭐ experience. Most AI products do not. And it's not just because of the models—the input/output space of AI products is simply much larger. To build consistent AI products, we first need to make it smaller. That's why guardrails are so important—by definition, they limit the input/output space of your AI product—so you can deliver better, more consistent user experience. Guardrails aren't important just for "safety".

Most of you are familiar with the traditional PDF-based review/markup process that is predominantly used in projects today. And those of you who attended our Product Innovation Breakfast a couple of weeks ago also saw that you can now leverage Omega 365 to do Model Based Review!
