Not every application leads to success, and that's okay. I recently applied to Amazon's Machine Learning Summer School 2024 but wasn't selected. While it's tempting to only share victories, I believe there's value in acknowledging our setbacks too. This experience has reinforced some important lessons: 1. Rejection is part of the journey, not the end of it 2. Each "no" is an opportunity to reflect and improve 3. Persistence often matters more than initial outcomes To those who made it in - congratulations! Your hard work paid off. To my fellow applicants who weren't selected - let's use this as motivation. There are always more opportunities ahead for those willing to keep learning and growing. Also, a big thank you to Amazon for providing such wonderful opportunities for learning and growth. #CareerGrowth #Resilience #MachineLearning #TechCareers #ProfessionalDevelopment #AmazonSummerSchool #EmbraceFailure #KeepLearning

Reflecting on Milestones: My Journey from Classroom to Amazon Offer Last Tuesday marked a pivotal moment for me as a Computer Science student. My professor Fuqun Huang, whom I also TA for, invited a senior software developer from Amazon to share insights into the industry and the interview process in her class. As a Teaching Assistant for that class, I had the privilege of attending and sharing my experiences with my peers. During the session, as I reflected on my journey into the tech industry, especially the interview process that resulted in me receiving an offer from Amazon, I had the chance to share my insights and advice on navigating interviews with everyone present. I also made sure to mention some valuable networking knowledge that I recently learned from my mentor - Lori Kim. Sharing these experiences with college friends was rewarding, reminding me of the dedication that went into achieving this milestone. Looking back, it's incredible to see how far I've come since deciding to pursue Computer Science in my second year of college. The journey has been filled with challenges, triumphs, and invaluable lessons. As I navigate my career, I'm grateful for moments like these that allow me to pause and reflect on my progress. They remind me of the passion and determination driving me forward. To fellow students entering the tech industry, embrace every opportunity to learn and grow. Each experience contributes to your professional development. Excited for the journey ahead, I'm grateful for the support of my professors, peers, and mentors. #Reflection #CareerJourney #TechIndustry #Amazon #ComputerScience #LearningAndGrowth

The best thing I’ve learned at Amazon was… If you are feeling stuck at your level as a software engineer then you must consider adopting a mindset focused on continuous learning and improvement 💪 🔸This involves taking up challenges as opportunities for growth rather than setbacks. 🔸Actively seek out complex projects that push your boundaries, as this will expose you to new technologies and problem-solving techniques. 🔸It's also essential to collaborate with like-minded people like fellow engineers who have different skills and perspectives. This can inspire innovation and help you discover new approaches to problems. 👉Set aside time for self-study and upskilling. Utilise various resources available online these can help you stay current with industry trends and software developments. Also, If you need additional support like great mentorship, structured curriculum etc. then you can check Bosscoder Academy. Check here: https://bit.ly/3KGdaij You can check their comprehensive program that is designed to make transitions possible for all working professionals Always embrace your successes and failures, as both are invaluable learning opportunities that can guide you. 💯 #collab #Amazon #Advice

Hey everyone , Pretty much every post I see on Linkedin is from someone celebrating a new job, a milestone reached, or to give some motivational tips to those who are struggling to "get there" - but is quite rare to see someone complaining about not being able to "get there" (yet?) or simply exposing their flaws and failures. Embracing Rejections: A Stepping Stone to Future Success. Around 6 days ago, I received the results for the Amazon ML Summer School 2024 assignment, and unfortunately, I was not selected. It's essential to remember that not everyone can be selected for every opportunity, and that's okay. Rejections are a part of life, and they don't define your worth or potential. Instead of feeling disheartened, I see this as an opportunity for growth and learning. For those who didn't make it this time, I want you to know that it's completely okay. Every opportunity has its own set of challenges, and sometimes, things don't go as planned. But remember, a rejection is not a reflection of your worth or potential. If you didn't get selected for the Amazon ML Summer School or any other opportunity, please don't be disheartened. Remember that success is not defined by a single acceptance or rejection. It's about the journey, the effort, and the continuous pursuit of your goals. Rejections are not setbacks; they are stepping stones towards something better. Every 'no' brings you closer to your 'yes. Use this moment as motivation to improve, to learn, and to keep moving forward. Thank you to Arsh Goyal for making me aware of this opportunity and Amazon for providing such learning programs. Remember setbacks are a natural part of a journey and they often lead to greater achievements in future.Till then keep learning and stay positive. #Amazon #Mlschool #Machinelearning #Staypositive #Learningjourney #Learning #Technology

If you(I) weren’t selected for the Amazon ML Summer School or any other opportunity, don’t be disheartened. Success isn't defined by one acceptance or rejection; it's about the journey, effort, and perseverance.Rejections are not failures but stepping stones leading to something greater. #amaversary: I have got 2 years old at Amazon ! I am extremely grateful to work at a great organization and look forward to many more years here.I would like to take a moment to thank everyone who congratulated me. Your support means a lot. There are numerous aspects of my role that I value, but today, I want to highlight two prominent decisions: 1. Learning: At #Amazon, I have the opportunity to work with the latest tools and technologies, tackling impactful challenges. I view Amazon as the ultimate library of knowledge, and I strive to learn as much as possible from it. 2. Teaching: I also have the privilege of training my colleagues, an experience I thoroughly enjoy. Teaching is a form of relearning for me and holds a special place in my heart. My father, a mathematics teacher, instilled in me a passion for mathematics that I have carried throughout my educational & professional journey. I began teaching when I was in the 12th grade and feel a deep sense of pride and fulfillment when I can contribute to their learning journey. As I continue to grow in my career, I am committed to maintaining my dedication to both #learning and #teaching #businessanalytics #datascience #progress

Hi Everyone, Why is only success celebrated on LinkedIn? Failure is also a good teacher. There are always two sides: one that people want to see and another that they don't, but both are part of our journey. I believe life is a zigzag path with ups and downs, but everything happens for a reason. I recently applied for the Amazon ML Summer School 2024 but wasn't shortlisted. While it's easy to only share our successes, it's important to acknowledge and learn from our failures too. As Thomas Edison once said, "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." A big thank you to Arsh Goyal for making me aware of this opportunity and to Amazon for providing such valuable learning experiences. I am hopeful for the best in the future and excited to keep learning and growing in the field of machine learning. Let's celebrate our journeys, both the highs and the lows. #machinelearning #amazon #amazonmlschool #amazonevent

🌟 Embracing Failure as a Stepping Stone to Success 🌟 In my recent journey, I’ve learned that failure is not the end but rather a vital part of the path to success. Participating in the Amazon ML Summer School 2024 has been a tremendous experience, even though I didn’t achieve the results I hoped for in the ML MCQs. While I successfully tackled both coding problems, I faced challenges that highlighted areas for growth. Every setback teaches invaluable lessons, shaping our resilience and guiding us toward improvement. The insights gained from these experiences are crucial stepping stones toward future achievements. 💪 To everyone navigating their own challenges, remember that every failure is an opportunity to learn, adapt, and ultimately succeed. Keep pushing forward! Thanks Arsh Goyal & Krishan Kumar for letting me know about this opportunity. #FailureToSuccess #Resilience #ContinuousLearning #MachineLearning #GrowthMindset #AmazonML
