From a neuroscience perspective, making sure that people feel safe on a deep level should be job #1 for leaders. Creating connection is a leader’s second most important job. Once we feel safe (a sensation that is registered in the reptilian brain), we also have to feel cared for (which activates the limbic brain) in order to unleash the full potential of our higher functioning prefrontal cortex.

Just wrapped up the Brain Friendly Change Course with Agile Change Leadership Institute. Absolutely loved it! As someone fascinated by neuroscience and change, this course was a game-changer. Highly recommend it to everyone. I finished it in just one day—the content is so digestible and easy to follow, with quizzes at the end of each module. Tons of resources that I can’t wait to dive into. Tomorrow, I'm organising my notes to be ready to implement what I've learned in my next role! #neuroscience #changemanagement #lifelonglearning #changeleaderengagement #changeadoption #changedesign #continuouslearning #brainfriendlychange

FREE- Join me on the 30th October for an intimate Q&A session. Whether you are thinking to take the Neuroscience for Change qualification by APMG International or if you want to learn more about licensing options of the PEPE© model PEPE© NEUROSCIENCE to embed this ground-breaking but practical model within your own learning and development programs or if you simply want to learn more about the neuroscience-based model to support change resistance. I will also share some experience about how I have been using PEPE© model for helping to shape leadership frameworks, cultural change, coaching among others applications. Be one of the first to hear about the PEPE Change Adaptation Gauge (PCAG) to asses and understand how ready, well prepared and resilience an individual or organisation is for positive change based on neuroscience. Limited spaces available. It is NOT a webinar. It is a small gathering in a virtual meeting with lot of opportunities for interaction and Q&A. If you think you can't change, or you're too long in the tooth to change then here's something you might want to consider. You Can! The science is clear. It might be that what you are really saying is, I don't need to change or I don't want to change. We live our truths, but our truths are only perspectives. Are you really doing yourself and others justice? Or are you denying yourself and as a result have the potential to limit others as a result? These are not trivial questions and only those aspiring to be New World Leaders have the courage to lean into them and learn from them. Take the challenge. Stay Curious. #newworldleadership #neuroplasticity #leadership #neuroleadership

How good is it when pieces start falling into place: the a-ha moment? My current role has afforded me the opportunity to lead the design, development and delivery of a new Leadership Strategy, Framework and multi-year implementation Roadmap. AND Over the years my interest in neuroscience has piqued (thanks Sue Langley and Dr Tara Swart Bieber) including manifestation and metacognition right through to neuroplastisty. THEN Today these two elements came together in such an intricate way, thanks to David Rock (think: SCARF model) from NeuroLeadership Institute at his mini-summit on Leadership Development. I am still working through the learnings and how I can contextualise them for my workplace. One thing I will share, is an approach to designing development initiatives for optimal learning - the AGES model: Attention Generation Emotion Spacing Now, there is a whole lot of research to underpin why this works and there is more to it than the four words alone but, I am going to leave it with you to explore further. Go check out the AGES model from NeuroLeadership Institute and share your insights back with me. I truly believe this is the disruption we need in adult learning principles to support the fast paced world we now live in. Thanks David Rock for providing the space today for me to generate so many connections within my work. #leadership #neuroscience #orgnaisationaldevelopment
