Lebanon’s workforce is slipping away, one wave at a time. Decades of conflict, instability, and lack of opportunity have driven hundreds of thousands abroad. Today, nearly 40% of Lebanese are considering leaving for good. At Fair Trade Lebanon, we’re working to reverse this trend by creating opportunities that empower people to build their future right here. Together, we can retain the talent, skills, and innovation Lebanon desperately needs. Let’s invest in our people and secure a future where staying is a choice. #SupportLebanon #EconomicEmpowerment #FairTradeLebanon #StopEmigration #LebanonExodus Sources: LAU, The Lebanese Trend of Emigration – A New Peak Since 2019. To all Lebanese expats around the world, our brothers and sisters back home need us now more than ever. Lebanon is facing unprecedented challenges, and the situation is becoming unbearable for many. The economic collapse, lack of basic services, and instability are threatening lives every day. But we, the Lebanese abroad, can make a difference. We can be the lifeline for those in need, helping them escape, find safety, and start over. Let’s come together as a global Lebanese community and help our loved ones in Lebanon secure a future. Whether it’s through providing resources, creating opportunities, offering jobs, or simply spreading awareness – every action counts. If you have the means to help someone relocate, provide work, or offer support, now is the time to step forward. Together, we can offer hope and the possibility of a better tomorrow. Let’s unite to save lives and ensure the survival and prosperity of our people. #LebaneseDiaspora #HelpLebanon #SupportLebanon #LebanonCrisis #MigrationSupport #SaveLebaneseLives #UnitedForLebanon

On this United Nations Day, I want to take a moment to share my thoughts as a Lebanese entrepreneur living in Belgium. Building a business far from home has its own set of challenges, but it’s even harder when your country is caught in conflict. Watching Lebanon, a place that shaped who I am, go through so much pain while I try to build my dream here is heartbreaking. My roots, my culture, and my people are in Lebanon, and every day, I feel the weight of what they’re going through. As I work on growing my business in Brussels, I’m constantly reminded of how lucky I am to be here, to have opportunities that so many in Lebanon don’t have right now. I think about the talented, passionate people back home whose potential is held back by circumstances beyond their control. Today, on United Nations Day, I want to share a message of hope. The work of the UN is meant to protect peace and human rights, and I truly hope that one day Lebanon can rise again. That its people will have the chance to live, create, and thrive. Being an entrepreneur is about resilience, and I know that the Lebanese people have that in abundance. My dream is to see a future where Lebanon is rebuilt and its people are able to pursue their passions without fear. Until then, I will keep working here, hoping that in some way, the success I build can contribute to something greater. #UnitedNationsDay #HopeForLebanon #Resilience #UN

Living in Lebanon, a country steeped in beauty, is a constant balancing act between creativity, resilience, determination and chaos. The daily grind of socio-economic instability, political and security unrest, stifle inspiration and dampen spirits of many Lebanese who cling to finding a quiet corner amidst the noise, and ever-testing the strength of their characters. In fact, Lebanon has been plagued with political corruption, grand theft of the peoples' life savings held by local banks, and currently living in the grim of war; yet it is in these very challenging days that the Lebanese people have honed their ability to adapt, innovate, and find hope and strength in the unexpected. Their resilience serves as a testament to the human spirit's capacity to create and thrive, even in the most adverse conditions. What some may call "crisis", we often call "business as usual".
