➡️ 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐥𝐞? ⬅️ Yesterday we had the second part of "Becoming more agile - utilising ambiguities and tensions" with Dr. Cornelia Stadlbauer und Richard Grillenbeck at our LC Impulse. As LC coaches, we are familiar with the constant new phases of change in our clients' highly dynamic markets. We experience that these phases can lead to tensions and ambiguities and require special attention. Our clients often talk about the need to become more "agile" and to be able to act in a more tension-tolerant manner. This impulse focused on these tensions and ambiguities and how to use them for further development. Our next LC Impulse will take place on 23 May on the topic of ‘Mind the Gap: Connecting hierarchical levels in organisations’ with Swaan Barrett, PCC and Karsten Drath. We live in a world of complexity squared - complexity within us, and around us. And in complexity we don’t know what data might be more important, or where novel options to emerging issues might be hiding. It’s new and different questions, and safe ways to engage with a little chaos, that open up new and different possibilities. So says Saman Attarian, at this week’s Adelaide Agile Meetup in his workshop aptly titled “How to Lead in Hell, Leadership Habits for the age of chaos and complexity”. We obviously agree, and believe play can provide that safe way of experimenting with some chaos to see what emerges. As Michael Fearne says, change the process to change the outcome! Got a complex situation? Try throwing some play at it and see what happens! #play #leadwithplay #complexity #adaptivechallenges #wickedproblems #systemsthinking #agile

THE DANGER OF ANTI-THINKING Chatting with a bunch of agilists (practitioners) few weeks back, we jokingly proposed the idea of setting up an ANTI-AGILE consulting firm. Where group of people like us, would be giving advisory and consultation to organization that want to go Agile, or wanting to culturized Design Thinking without being too obsess and fixed mindset to certain methods or frameworks. We cannot limit the drive for people to think, to innovate and to grow with some fix tools or mindsets. It is ANTI-THINKING. Agile, Design Thinking and whatnot are free tools developed by great minds that want to see improvement, ideation, collaboration, through pulling of great minds to think alike. Never let one or less than handful fixed mindset people to dictate how thinking should be done. #think #mindset #agile #designthinking #leadership #culture #innovation #changemanagement

Evolve on the curve vs Jump the curve - that is the key theme I heard at the ReImagine Agile panel at Agile Alliance #Agile2024 Tomorrow feels like I am stepping further than I have ever gone before as I prepare for my emergent talk on #AgileIdentity … to truly represent the dichotomy and divergence before the community and chart what seems like an inevitable path forward. #EvolutionaryLeadership #SELFFramework

🚀💬 Reflecting on the recent buzz around the Agile community, a critical question emerges: Why do we need a launch group to reimagine agile? The original 17 authors of the Agile Manifesto moved independently, and often diverged from their foundational principles—shouldn't this teach us something about the real-world application? As we see calls for new leadership groups to spearhead Agile initiatives, I can't help but wonder: Is this truly reflective of a community-driven approach? Why not model our efforts on successful open-source communities, such as Hugging Face, where collaboration and openness pave the way without a centralized launch team? The ongoing debates around the necessity of these structured groups are draining. Let's open up this discussion and truly embrace a community ethos. We should be building platforms like aiagile.org with the open, inclusive spirit of open-source communities. It's time to evolve beyond debates and towards action. 🌐 #Agile #OpenSource #CommunityBuilding #Innovation

🚀 Transforming Challenges into Value: Empowering Your Return on Innovation Last week, Agile Academy had the pleasure of hosting an illuminating Agile Insights Conversation with the esteemed Marty Cagan, centered around his latest book, "𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐝." The dialogue, guided by Sohrab Salimi, delved into the nuances of Marty's pioneering Product Operation Model. Today, we want to share a nugget from this Agile Insights Conversation with Marty. The discussion centered on why companies choose to transform in today's rapidly evolving business landscape. 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦? 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐍𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐬: In industries like financial services, the surge of technology-powered competitors is disrupting traditional markets, compelling established companies to innovate or risk losing market share and revenue. 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞: Viewing transformation as an opportunity, many companies believe that by demonstrating their ability to consistently innovate, they will attract higher valuations and increase investor wealth. 𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬: Frustration among financial leaders, such as CFOs, over the modest returns from large investments in technology are leading to a reevaluation of how innovation can be more effectively harnessed. These factors are deeply interlinked, pushing organizations to rethink their strategies and approaches. By understanding these drivers, leaders can tailor their strategies to better meet the specific challenges and opportunities their companies face. 𝑵𝒐𝒕 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒂𝒏𝒚 𝒏𝒆𝒆𝒅𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒔𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒎, but for those that do, it's critical to base this decision on a detailed evaluation of the organization's unique circumstances and strategic goals. Secondary factors like employee satisfaction and talent attraction also play a supportive role in this decision-making process. Stay tuned as we prepare to share the full conversation and an in-depth blog post soon. These insights are invaluable for anyone looking to leverage innovation to transform challenges into tangible business value. #AgileAcademy #BusinessTransformation #InnovationLeadership #MartyCagan #ProductOperationModel #StrategicInnovation

In decision-making, striving for perfection can be our biggest obstacle. A good choice made promptly often outweighs a slightly better one that's delayed. Consider this: implementing a solution that's 80% effective now can be far more valuable than waiting for a 90% solution next month. Remember, there's no such thing as a flawless decision; nothing gets to a 100% - the key is to act decisively with the best information available at the time. Progress trumps perfection in the fast-paced world of business and leadership. Make timely decisions! #ProgressOverPerfection #Decisiveness #Agile #StrategicDecisionMaking #BusinessStrategy #TimeManagement #LeadershipDevelopment #QuickWins #ThinkBigActFast #GoodEnoughIsGoodEnough #GrowthMindset #ProjectManagement
