Yesterday kicked off the first Regional Integrated Preparedness Planning Workshop in Las Vegas. The week-long workshop began with an interactive conversation between local, state, tribal, and federal partners to conduct the Threat and Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (THIRA) process. The THIRA is a three-step risk assessment process that helps communities understand their risks and what they need to do to address those risks. It was an enlightening experience to attend the webinar hosted by the Lehi Safety Summit and the Utah Statewide Information and Analysis Center as a member of the Downtown Security Alliance.
