Recently attended the inspiring conference SHECIETY in Berlin, focused on Female Empowerment! 🌟 On behalf of Audible Women@work community, I, together with Jasmin Alsultan, had the incredible opportunity to attend a dynamic event last Saturday. This conference brought together passionate and trailblazing women with diverse backgrounds with the main driving motto "We empower women to shine." The panel talks, workshops, and interviews were focused on health, career, business, networking, and a lot of inspiration. My top 5 key takeaways from the conference: 1. Authenticity: Professional development and personal traits go hand-in-hand. There were multiple practical strategies and real-life examples shared to help women stay authentic and juggle work-life balance and stay true to yourself. 2. Advocacy: Approximately 80% of women struggle with self-esteem and fall back on career enhancement (Forbes Council post 2022). This fact highlights the importance gaining the self-confidence to advocate for professional growth through the community and educational materials. 3. Clarity: The importance of clearly defining career (or business) goals and clear communication with the manager and sponsoring partner. 4. Support: The importance of a strong sense of belonging and a safe space within the network to emphasize and highlight how we can lift each other up and succeed together. 5. Health and Brain Longevity: Fascinating arguments by a scientist highlighted the importance of lifelong learning and adopting new approaches to keep our brains healthy and contribute to longevity. After Sheciety, I feel more motivated than ever to contribute to this movement and support female empowerment in my own professional journey and as a co-lead of the Women Impact Group at work. A big thank you to the organizers for putting together such a fantastic event! #FemaleEmpowerment #WomenInLeadership #BerlinConference #Networking #GenderEquality #WomenSupportingWomen #insideAudible

You still have time to sign up for this webinar on Wednesday 1 May and non-members are also welcome! Dr Lucy Ryan will be the guest speaker at the next virtual Association for Coaching (AC) APAC Discovery Series event, where she wil be sharing her insights on why women are walking out of organisations at mid-life after spending years building their careers (and what organisations and leaders can do about it), 01 May, 6:00 - 7:30pm (AEST). To register https://lnkd.in/g9v5iYQU "Professional women over 50 are faced with a triple-whammy of discrimination: they are not male, young, or linear in their career paths. As a result, they are leaving corporate life and taking their career into their own hands. And with it, they take their abundant wisdom, energy and ambition. " 💗 Dr Ryan’s recent book ‘Revolting Women: Why midlife women are walking out, (and what to do about it)’ deals with assumptions about declining midlife motivation and energy and reveals how leaders and organisations can retain and develop this invaluable talent pool with a better understanding of their challenges and a few simple changes. https://lnkd.in/eQuj48nF #associationforcoaching #coachingwomen #womeninleadership

Today is International Women's Day, and as women, we bring so much to the table – not just in our personal lives but also in #leadership positions. I am in circles where women have accomplished so much, often despite receiving minimal support from their colleagues 😔. This lack of support can be incredibly noticeable and discouraging. Yet, these ladies' perseverance is evident, and it's inspiring to see how some are breaking through these challenges and #mentoring young #professionals. There's so much more we can do. The most important thing I've learned is the power of sharing our stories and experiences🎯. Here's how to start: 📍Join conversations online. 📍Share the steps you took to achieve success. 📍Don't shy away from sharing the setbacks, the wins, the failures, lessons learned and everything in between. 📍Tell it in your own voice, keep it concise, but pack it full of valuable insights. Someone out there needs to hear your story📌. In that spirit, I'm hosting a FREE LinkedIn Live event tomorrow! It's a fantastic way to celebrate International Women's Day by giving back and helping others gain valuable insights and build their own success strategies. Join me tomorrow at 6 PM WAT! Topic: Beyond the Pharmacy: Unlocking Your Career Potential in Healthcare 🔗 https://bit.ly/4bTcBOz 📍Location: LinkedIn 🗓 Sat, Mar 9, 2024 🕕 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM (WAT) P.S. It was a pleasure to attend the “Perspectives of Women Powerbrokers” panel at BIO International Convention! Thank you to Laura Indolfi, Sheila Gujrathi, MD, Sabrina Johnson, and Anna Turetsky for your advice and experience! Here are some of the key takeaways: • We need greater visibility of women CEOs in biotech. It’s easier for new CEOs to believe they can step into this role when you see other women doing it. • We need to look for the places in the system where we can increase % of women CEOs, with particular attention on boards hiring in a replacement CEO in an existing company. Boards recruiting a new leader rarely bring in a woman CEO. Could be a real opportunity! • People in positions of power need to use their influence to advance women in the field. • We need ways to level the playing field in networking events. There’s a bigdifference between meeting up for coffee or meeting up for drinks, but it can feel problematic for a first time female founder to seek the more casual evening drinks with male mentors or investors. Can we find ways to normalize this and help more women build their networks? Or find other ways to help women build relationships?

International Women's Day is coming! - Friday 8 March 🌟Inspiring Women to Excel in Their Careers 📢 I am thrilled to use this platform to share my journey of success as an inspiration for all women striving to reach new heights in their careers. 🚀 When I made the bold choice to leave my country and pursue my dreams, I had no guarantees of success. However, through determination and perseverance, I have accomplished goals that once felt unattainable. Today, I stand proud, not only for my achievements but also for the opportunity to inspire and uplift other women along the way. 💪 We, as women, possess an incredible strength that knows no bounds. Together, we can break barriers, challenge norms, and exceed expectations. We can support and empower one another to surpass limits and achieve greatness. 🎯 My message to all women out there is this: Stick to your plans, stick to your goals. Embrace the challenges, for they build resilience and character. Believe in your abilities, even when others doubt you. Surround yourself with a network of talented and supportive individuals who champion your ambitions. ✨ Let us celebrate our achievements, both big and small, and use them as stepping stones for future success. Let us inspire and uplift each other, creating a community of unstoppable women who are rocking the world! 🌎 Together, we can prove that boundaries are merely opportunities for us to transcend. We can show the world that with passion, determination, and mutual support, women can accomplish anything they set their minds to. Join me in this journey of empowerment! I’m diving into a topic that consistently comes up in my work with leaders and teams—confidence. Here are some of the topics I’m curious about: -What are the most effective ways to build and sustain confidence? -What is the purpose of confidence? -Do men and women experience confidence differently? And more… My goal is to interview 150 women and men and so far, I’ve interviewed 60. I’d love to get your thoughts! If you’re interested in speaking with me, please send me a message here or email me at [email protected]. Your insights could make a meaningful difference in this research!

Can Women Have It All? Is it possible to excel in a top position, be a dedicated wife, a present mother, and a committed daughter all at once? These questions resonate deeply with many ambitious mothers seeking the right balance. Indra Nooyi, former CEO of PepsiCo, argues that women can't have it all. She explains that to juggle these roles effectively, women need to develop coping mechanisms, starting with family support and extending to the workplace. Is our biological clock aligned with our career clock? According to Nooyi, the answer is "no." What's your take on this issue? At Women on Boards Albania (WOB-AL) we are actively discussing these challenges and brainstorming ways to address them. That's why we have organized a series of webinars, trainings, and panel discussions. Join us for our next webinar, part of the series "Paving Your Path to Leading Roles," where we'll discuss visibility and thought leadership. Mark your calendars for June 20th at 17:00. https://lnkd.in/dscuavc3
