Has to be B2B marketing right? Just think about it 👉 At the end the day, marketing is measured on revenue BUT marketing doesn’t have much control over revenue once someone becomes a lead. Your buying process can be garbage, you free trial stinks and sales can drop the ball, marketing is still gonna be measured on revenue. Not fun 👉 Most of what you do needs to be attributed to some sort of dollar amount. Yet all the best marketing campaigns are hard to attribute. And if you don’t see enough early indicators, it gets shut off quick, even though great marketing takes time….. Not fun 👉 Your messaging and positioning matter so much which is usually on marketing. I don’t care what your budget is or what your marketing looks like. Your messaging and positioning will make or break everything. At many orgs it’s the non-marketing executives who dictate what that messaging looks like. BUT when things are down and you say it’s bc of your messaging and positioning that you tried to change. You get blamed for it 🥹 NOT FUN 👉 Growth goals are also usually 2X to 3X higher with less budget and people 👉 You’re also expected to do everything despite your resources bc marketing has so many different things you can do and everyone thinks you need to do them all Not as fun as the 50 minute daily meditations and kombucha we’re all promised 😭

Stop! Before you press 'Go' on your next marketing campaign, remember - Branding comes first! It's a fatal mistake countless B2B service companies make. Jumping headfirst into a - Lead generation crusade - Creating content - Paid ad blitz - Email newsletters - Website redesign Without first nailing down: - Their ideal customers - Company personality - Core values and purpose - Clear, consistent messaging - Distinct positioning - Customer journey mapping Overlooking these key branding elements can doom your marketing efforts from the start. But when you get them in place? Your marketing becomes a powerful, precision tool. A tool that delivers results with the precision of a laser-focused sniper rather than the scattershot approach of a novice. Tired of watching your marketing campaigns flop like a flat tire? Perhaps it's time to press pause, backtrack, and give your branding strategy the attention it deserves. It might be the missing piece of your success puzzle. Are you ready to give it a try? #branding #marketing #B2Bmarketing #marketingstrategy #brandstrategy #contentmarketing #digitalmarketing #customersuccess #businessgrowth

Marketing campaigns are not working as expected for 80% of B2B Businesses (https://lnkd.in/eQbiKdRS) This is a LARGE number? Now, there could be many reasons for this. It could be the messaging or channel is wrong? Or it could be the audience isn't right or the timing? Or it could be the expectations are too high? Or the campaign wasn't planned out properly before hand? Marketing shouldn’t be seen as a tick box exercise and it is important to know your business why and to know the purpose of your marketing. Pinpoint feels the majority of your successes will be down to careful planning, therefore giving your business time and attention via such a plan is the way forward. The benefits of a plan will help you get organised, be logical and build foundations. A plan will save you time and money, but remember that a marketing plan is different to a business plan.
