Here's a simple diagram outlining four key components involved in landing your perfect job. It is critical for you to understand what YOU are looking for and need as much as what the company you're applying to needs. Consider these factors when evaluating and trying to land your perfect job: 1. Your Background: It's important that both your skills and experience and personality provide a good fit for the role you're seeking. 2. Your Job Search Skills: Having well-honed job search skills is becoming more and more critical now as competition is increasing for open positions, for example in the #Biotechnology and #Pharmaceutical industries. 3. What You Need: It is critically important to understand what you need so you can determine if you will fit well in a given role or company. 4. What the Company Needs: It is also important to understand what the company needs and how they will gauge if you are a good fit for what they are seeking. #Careers, #PersonalDevelopment, #JobSearch

Quick way to check the strength of your network (when job seeking) 1. Go to the search bar 2. Type in the job title of your line manager (e.g “VP, Clinical Operations”) 3. Filter by sector/ Industry (e.g Pharmaceutical manufacturing or Biotechnology) 4. Filter to 1st degree connections 5. View results If your network is full of ↳ Old school friends ↳ Individuals from other sectors ↳ Random connections also looking for work You don’t have a strong network for your job search (And you may as well be on Facebook) Focus on connecting with ↳ The right people ↳ At the right level ↳ In the right sector Then post about ↳ The questions they have ↳ The goals they're chasing ↳ The ways you can help them You won't get as many likes or profile views as those sharing their job search struggles But the views and likes will be from the right people (who may have the right opportunity for you) #jobsearchstrategy #jobseekers #linkedinposts #linkedin

In Q3 of 2024 #jobseekers are expressing frustration and concern all across the #LifeScienceIndustry. Focussing on a small subset of candidates across #Engineering and #LifeSciences this week alone we have seen "searching for opportunities" posts stretch by an additional 3% on last week. With all these candidates entering the market, it is appearing harder and harder for professionals to get back into the work place, in competative roles to the ones they have left. This is not helped by the closing of a few major #pharmaceutical companies across the UK as some ship overseas, and others close for good. ARx 's team of recruitment professionals are here to support you on your new search. Comment your desired role, and your location in the comments and let's see whether hiring companies can find some fantastic talent within this thread! #PharmaJobs #LifeScienceJobs #PharmaUK

Dear Hirers/Interviewers, hire me🥺 On a more serious note, it feels like I'm practically begging for a chance to break into my field. The challenge? Entry-level and graduate jobs seem to require a lot more "experience" than one would expect for these roles. It’s as if three years of expensive education don’t quite count and it’s been over a year already since graduating !! 😪 I’d consider myself lucky just to get a response after applying, let alone after an interview. Yet, I still get asked, "Why aren’t you working in your field?" Well, people, here’s a visual explanation of why breaking into my industry has been challenging!😭 To job hirers🤔: Please don’t expect those being interviewed to be experts in exactly what you’re looking for. Everyone needs training to grow into the ideal candidate. Give people like me a chance to prove our potential. And if a rejection happens, offering feedback beyond the obvious "lack of experience" would be really helpful. Constructive feedback can go a long way in helping us improve and get closer to being the perfect fit!🙏😇 Anyone else struggling ? #JobHiring #JobSeeking #Pharmaceutical #cosmetics #PersonalCare #Perfumery #manufacturing #Liverpool #Manchester #Unfortunately #Chemistry #Chemist #Formulation #ColorCosmetics #DeMontfortUniversity #PharmaceuticalScience #CosmeticScience #RegulatoryAffairsAssociate #ResearchandDevelopment #ProductDevelopmentScientist #ProductDevelopment #SkincareFormulation #HaircareFormulation
