Designing Experiences: From Architecture to UX In the past few days, I've been working on an exciting project - designing a pool for a multi-family apartment, which has been one of the coolest design experiences. Even though I was sitting at my desk, my mind was wandering through the water and around the courtyard, imagining every second of our future users’ experience at the pool. Reflecting on my journey from architecture to UX design, I’m more inspired than ever by how design can shape our experiences—whether through a physical space or a digital product. Transitioning fields wasn’t easy, but it taught me to think creatively about solving real-world problems for users. One of my latest projects was designing a hospital staff scheduling app, aimed at making shift planning easier and more intuitive for healthcare professionals. This experience reinforced my belief in the power of user-centered design and strengthened my skills in balancing diverse user needs with complex system requirements. The room temperature was perfect, but the moment my elbow touched the chair’s armrest, I was met with an icy chill that jolted me out of focus. This little experience highlighted just how much attention to detail matters in UX design. I was reading this amazing book "Articulating Design Decisions" by Tom Greever And here he talks about this awesome concept of seeing UX everywhere! Basically, it's like spotting UX magic in the everyday stuff around us not just in tech. 💻 We designers have this knack for analyzing everything through our UX glasses. 👓 You know, like when you're using a kitchen gadget or a piece of furniture, and you start thinking, "Hey, this could totally inform how I approach my current design project!" 😅 It's all about turning those everyday experiences into nuggets of inspiration for our digital designs.😊 #uxdesign #designerslife
