Tinnitus is treatable. A statement so controversial, that I frequently receive hate messages from people in disbelief. And all because the medical apparatus still claims tinnitus (and hyperacusis) is for life, supporting companies trying to sell apps and devices with mostly biased studies at steep pricepoints (up to CHF 5'000+) that are simply unethical and immoral. On top of that, these products are A) usually not covered by health insurances, and B) only marginally effective, help manage some of the symptoms for a while, yet yield no lasting change... In over four years of treating clients and helping navigate that journey with a holsitically scientific approach, I can confidently say: where there is a will and subsequent effort, there is a way! #tinnitus #hearinghealth #hyperacusis #seekingsilence

Run Free If you are a runner looking for an edge, something that will help you run faster, longer and more free, visualize your fascia when you run. With your mind’s eye, imagine every step transmitting the force of your impact from your great toe, diagonally through the plantar arch, to the outside of your heel as it travels up into your leg. Imagine this as part of a spiral line that creates the diamond of your calf muscle, crossing over to attach to the inside of your knee, pulling on your ACL and crossing over to the outside of your femur, moving up your IT band on its way to your hip. Feel the criss-crossing movement of your pelvis, from left to right, with your tailbone as the keystone at the base of your spine. Imagine your pelvis pulling on your ribcage, tethering to your scapula in the front and back, and crossing the midline again to your neck and TMJ. See these twisting pillars of connective tissue that link coccyx and sacrum, xiphoid and sternum, occiput and cranium. Your body is a machine, and this is how it is built. This is how you move. This whole-body approach to biomechanics is called tensegrity, a new paradigm for anatomy and physiology, linking structure and function, with spiral lines weaving from right to left, front to back, transmitting rotational forces along the entire vertebral column of the spine. From this perspective, treating pain in your foot, your ankle, your hip or your knee without treating the rest of the line seems absurd. Every injury you have ever sustained has the potential to distort the alignment of these spiral lines, creating tension, inflammation and stress in joints, tendons and ligaments, that buckle and strain under these increased forces. Injuries heal, but that healing is never 100.0% complete. Sensitized nerves and residual tissue changes can create tension, inflammation and stress in these local areas, and in the psycho-immuno-neuro-endocrine (PINE) system that regulates the body as a whole. Neural therapy is a little-known approach that targets these lesions, called interference fields, with injections of local anesthetics. As the President of the North American Academy of Neural Therapy (www.NAANT.org), I see the lesion as far more important than the therapy. I want chiropractors, physical therapists, acupuncturists and any other provider to consider every place where tissue damage has occurred as low-hanging fruit for healing. This is an approach I call Blockage-Based Care. The hypothesis that these blockages can contribute to a wide range of chronic diseases is logical and scientific, and while it is a major part of many of the world’s healing traditions, it is totally absent from modern healthcare. If it is correct, it represents a major advance in the history of medicine. This is a new way of understanding how the human body is built, how it functions and how it moves, in health and disease. If it is correct, it represents a major advance in the history of medicine.

Did you know that patient-therapist interactions can significantly influence treatment outcomes? A study by Mary O'Keeffe highlights that, beyond practical skills, several key factors play a crucial role in the effectiveness of therapy: 👉 Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Physical therapists who excel in listening, providing encouragement, showing confidence, and being empathetic and friendly can create a more positive therapeutic environment. Nonverbal communication also plays a vital role in building trust and understanding. 👉 Individualized Patient-Centered Care: Tailoring treatments to each patient's unique needs and taking their opinions into account enhances the therapeutic experience and fosters a sense of collaboration and respect. 👉 Organizational and Environmental Factors: Flexibility in scheduling and providing adequate time for care are essential to ensure patients feel valued and not rushed. A supportive and accommodating environment can make a significant difference in treatment adherence and satisfaction. At PhyxUp Health, we are dedicated to helping physical therapists create this environment for patients with software featuring home exercise programs, remote monitoring, one-on-one interaction, and more. Our mission is to enhance the patient experience and optimize therapy outcomes by fostering strong, empathetic, and personalized interactions between therapists and patients. Check out the study for more details and join us in improving patient care!

For years we have seen the impact of life’s worries and challenges in patients of all ages. Whether the origin was financial, family, relationship-driven, work-prompted, medical, or a daunting combination of many factors, the result is often the emergence or escalation of an orofacial or jaw pain/dysfunction problem. With their muscles and associated sensory and motor nerves likely in trouble due to an upset brain, high levels of suffering motivate patients to seek care. As a result, treatment directions for this specific population of patients has focused not just on the physical components of the problem, but the likely responsible risk factors that are unique to each patient, as well. In these scenarios, our goal has always been to reduce symptoms first and then to assist and encourage patients to actively participate in the process that is required for them to get better. Read on in Donald R Tanenbaum, DDS, MPH's below article, and let us know your thoughts. https://lnkd.in/gc2Kvnaq #telehealth #telemedicine #orofacialpain

The difference between a doctor, a physiotherapist, and a frequency therapist lies in their methodologies,🧬 areas of expertise, and the nature of treatments they provide. 1. **Doctor**: A doctor, typically a medical doctor (MD), specializes in diagnosing and treating diseases and medical conditions using evidence-based medicine. Doctors undergo extensive training in medical school and residency programs to understand human physiology, pathology, and treatment protocols. They use medications, surgeries, therapies, and other medical interventions to address health issues. 2. **Physiotherapist**: A physiotherapist, also known as a physical therapist, focuses on restoring movement and function to the body after injury, illness, or disability. They use physical techniques such as exercise, manual therapy, and education to improve mobility, alleviate pain, and enhance overall physical well-being. Physiotherapists often work in conjunction with doctors to provide rehabilitative care. 3. **Frequency Therapist**: A frequency therapist operates on the principles of frequency therapy and bioenergetic fields. This approach posits that everything in the universe, living or non-living, emits its own unique frequency or energy. Disruptions in these bioenergetic fields can manifest as physical or mental health issues 💯. Key Account & Business Development 🚀 | Mastering Key Relationships, Shaping the Future of Tinnitus
8moThe current level of education of most ENTs and general practitioners regarding tinnitus is not worth mentioning. In most cases, those affected are seen as a nuisance and too time-consuming, so that patients are sent from one practitioner to the next or prescribed pharmaceuticals which could be an option for short term in a acute tinnitus phase but no long term solution. Solution-orientated thinking and taking time are unfortunately too rare. There is no single option for every patient, as tinnitus is too complex and individualised. Multidisciplinary approaches to present the patient with a choice of different treatment methods and select the most suitable one are a great option. Unfortunately, there are too few holistic practitioners with a multidisciplinary approach who take the time to find an individual solution for their patients, and the ones that do exist are fully booked several weeks in advance.
