🤓Wednesday Wisdom: Progress in Perspective As we approach Thanksgiving, it’s the perfect time to pause and reflect—not just on gratitude but also on the progress we’ve made this year. In the hustle of property management, it’s easy to focus only on what’s left to do before year’s end. But real growth happens when we take a step back to appreciate how far we’ve come. Every resolved challenge, every strengthened relationship, and every moment of showing up with purpose has brought us closer to our goals. This week, let’s shift the focus from “what’s left” to “what’s been accomplished.” Progress is about the journey, not just the destination. What’s one achievement from this year that you’re especially proud of? For me it’s that I replaced fear of the unknown with joy in every chance to try something new(like riding a Vespa😉). Let’s celebrate each of our accomplishments together in the comments. #WednesdayWisdom #ProgressMatters #EnjoytheJourney #BeProudofYourself

Thanksgiving is a time to be grateful - it is also a great opportunity to take inventory of your life/business. One of my first coaches taught me a valuable lesson: To take 100% ownership on the results (or lack thereof) in my life and business. Controlling the controllables and remembering that nothing is set in stone. Whether you're riding the highs or navigating the lows, life is always evolving. Complacency is the enemy of growth. This Thanksgiving, I hope you find gratitude - it is also a great opportunity to be intentional about the future. Use this time to refocus. Set your sights on what's next. Today a client shared this with me: "I've run out of room to store the trophies I receive from my work on my shelves. And I have 2-3 more that will likely still be on their way this year... for most of my life, I've worked for those trophies. I've found my identity in the praise and affirmation I get from my high-levels of success in my work. In fact, as much as I hate to admit it, I get a lot more "juice" out of success and "winning" at work than I do "winning" at home as a dad and a husband. But that's changing. It's not perfect, but it's changing. Over the last 60 days, if they gave out trophies for being a dad or a husband, I'd have several on my shelf. I'm more present. More grateful. More joyful. More intentional as a father and husband. AND THE BEST PART IS: my business isn't crumbling as a result of investing in what really matters. It's actually done quite the opposite. I'm working less, investing more into what matters, while growing the biz." This is perhaps the most rewarding part of what I do... helping leaders stop sacrificing what really matters without sacrificing professional success. Feeling grateful today.

I never thought going backwards would bring me so much joy. Let me explain. I went from being: - Married - A home-owner - In my dream career - With my daughters 100% of the time To - No longer working for the Maple Leafs - With my daughters only 50% - Renting a condo - Single On the surface, this was a HUGE step backwards. Society looked at me as a failure. And I felt like one too. BUT - Life is all about what you make of it. I’m not a failure at all. Rather, I’ve successfully put myself right on the track I want to be on. And I’m beyond grateful for what I have: → The time I spend with my daughters is INCREDIBLE (And the time I’m not with them, I can spend focusing on ME) → I get to park underground in the winter, and throw my garbage down the chute (I was never a good home-owner anyway) → I’ve grown as a professional and worked alongside incredible new colleagues and leaders (I’m comfortable with being uncomfortable) → I’m in an amazing new relationship, and re-learning to love me for me (And setting boundaries to continue my own self-care) It’s all about perspective. Run your own race. Comparison is the enemy. Sometimes going backwards is the only way forward. _ Enjoy this? ♻️ Repost it so others can benefit Follow Adam Halberstadt and hit the 🔔 to be the first to see my new posts.
