Supporting those affected by diabetes is at the heart of our brand mission and is a central part of Lakanto's origin story! Our founder, Mr. Saraya was personally looking to discover the world's best sugar alternative to support his own healthy outcomes when he founded Lakanto in Osaka Japan in 1996 and introduced monk fruit sweetener to the world. This year, in honor of National Diabetes Day, we are so proud to be a sponsor for the upcoming T1D Connect Event for Little T1D Heroes and their families here in our home state in Utah County! If you are in the area and want to attend, check out the Eventbrite Link here for details! Come visit us Thursday, November 14 6-8pm at the Northampton House in American Fork, UT and enjoy Lakanto treats, facepainting, balloon art, raffles and food! Whether you're family is newly diagnosed with T1D or a seasoned pro, this event is for everyone affected by type 1 diabetes. Make new friends who understand what you're going through! Let's support each other and navigate the T1D journey together. Hope to see you there! https://lnkd.in/gyfNAU9v! #NationalDiabetesDay

World Sepsis Day is observed annually on September 13th. Sepsis is a life-threatening condition that results from body's extreme response to an infection, and can lead to tissue damage and organ disfunction. It is estimated that approximately 50 million of sepsis cases occur annually, resulting in at least 11 million deaths worldwide. Yet, depending on country and education, sepsis is known only to 7 – 50 % of the people. 2024 World Sepsis Day campaign focuses on raising awareness about sepsis symptoms, importance of rapid and accurate diagnosis and early treatment. By fostering collaboration among healthcare professionals, policymakers, and the public, the 2024 campaign aims to significantly reduce the burden of sepsis and save lives globally. https://lnkd.in/eygiiRys #WorldSepsisDay #SepsisAwareness #StopSepsis #SaveLives #2030GlobalSepsisAgenda

Silent Tragedies: The Urgency of Early Intervention for Mitral Stenosis Imagine sifting through 150 patient electronic records, each representing a life. My task is to identify those with severe mitral stenosis who would benefit from valvotomy. What I found was heartbreaking. Eight young patients lost their lives waiting for a potentially life-saving procedure. These weren't complex cases; with timely intervention, they could have lived relatively normal lives. Untreated stenosis leads to a devastating cascade: heart failure, stroke, and shattered dreams. These eight individuals represent countless others facing a similar struggle. Can we please advocate for increased access to screenings and valvotomy procedures and fight for earlier intervention? Together, we can prevent these tragedies and ensure everyone has a chance at a healthy life. #MitralStenosis #HeartHealth #SaveLives
