As we close the office for the holiday, I’m reflecting on so many things I’m thankful for this year. One recent highlight was our trip to the Oklahoma Panhandle, led by my colleague Ashton Mese Johnston, with 20 outstanding Oklahoma State University students in Oklahoma Pork Council’s fall 2024 Pork Industry Group. From visiting the sow farm (complete with freshly showered-in baby pig photo ops!) to touring the pork plant in Guymon, this capstone experience was truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our next gen leaders. A big thanks to the Seaboard Foods team for their amazing hospitality! I’m incredibly proud to serve an industry committed to providing safe, affordable and nutritious protein to families in Oklahoma, across the nation, and around the world. Now, I’m signing off to spend time with my family, who I’m deeply thankful for. Happy Thanksgiving to all! 📸 credit: my colleague Matti Carlile
