Mountains, Oceans, Lakes, and Traffic Puget Sound Weekly Market Update | 6.28.24 Seattle traffic congestion increased the most in the country this last year per the latest INRIX annual report. Seattle metro now ranks 10th in the nation (up from 12th last year) in total number of hours wasted in our cars sitting in traffic. In total, Puget Sound drivers lose about 58 hours per year due to traffic, which is still 11 hours fewer than we lost in 2019, but as return-to-office trends continue, I imagine the numbers will continue getting worse for Seattle drivers.
