There’s been a lot of news around the newly formed large media conglomerate with the coming together of Disney and Reliance, something that was under the works for over two years and now it’s also the #leadership team that been announced as showcased in this picture below👇 Some great people in this newly formed leadership team, some peers too but what is definitely worth the ponder is while on the one hand we talk about diversity and also equal opportunities for women in the Board rooms/ leadership teams, having not a single woman in this leadership team of 17 people is definitely something that’s worth the ask especially from folks in #humanresources This is the coming together of the world’s largest #media company in with one of India’s biggest and yet to see this picture is a little thought provoking, especially given world over media is a field where there’s a lot of women in the leadership roles
Not a single lady leading any vertical (except Ms. Nita Ambani). May be more women should be considered for such positions.
It’s an inspiring lineup, but also a reminder of how much work remains to be done. A leadership team that reflects the diverse audience they serve would truly set a global example.
It’s a historic merger. Leadership should mirror the diversity of the talent it oversees. Media, of all industries, has so much to gain from inclusive decision-making!
Great perspective

1moDr. Kushal Sanghvi This is just the beginning. With Mrs Nita Ambani as Chairperson and Reliance Industries Limited providing an equal opportunity platform, inclusivity is at the forefront. The entertainment industry's target audience has shifted from being female-heavy to encompassing all demographics, allowing for gender-agnostic leadership. We hope #Jiostar will deliver groundbreaking content with global appeal. Who knows, one day they might create content that surpasses #GameofThrones, #SquidGame, #TheWire, and #Simpsons!
