𝓐𝓶𝓪𝔃𝓸𝓷 𝓓𝔂𝓷𝓪𝓶𝓸𝓓𝓑 is a fully managed NoSQL database service provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS). It is designed for applications that require seamless scalability, high performance, and low latency. DynamoDB offers features such as automatic scaling of throughput capacity to handle varying workloads, built-in security, and backup and restore capabilities. It is known for its reliability, as it is designed to provide consistent, single-digit millisecond latency at any scale. DynamoDB uses a key-value and document data model, where each item (similar to a row in a traditional database) can have a different structure, making it flexible for various types of data. It also supports secondary indexes for efficient querying and scanning of data. Additionally, DynamoDB offers features like transactions for maintaining data consistency and streams for capturing changes to the database in real time. Overall, Amazon DynamoDB is a powerful database service suitable for a wide range of applications, from mobile and web apps to gaming, IoT, and more. [Interesting thing I learned recently] What's AWS firehose? 🤔 AWS Firehose is a service that helps you collect and move data in real time to places like storage (Amazon S3), databases (Redshift), or search systems (OpenSearch). It automatically handles large amounts of data, and you can even set it up to clean or format the data before sending it. It’s like a pipeline that takes data from your app or devices and delivers it where you need it without much manual effort. Typical Use Cases: 1. Log and Event Streaming: Capture log data from servers or cloud infrastructure and store it in S3 or OpenSearch for further analysis. 2. IoT Data Processing: Ingest massive streams of sensor data for analysis or storage. 3. Real-Time Analytics: Send streaming data to Redshift or a data warehouse for near real-time analytics. AWS Kinesis Data Firehose makes it easy to collect and analyze large streams of data in near real time. ~ Prakhar Rai.

💻 Imagine you have streaming data—from an IoT sensor, log ingestion, or shopper impressions. You need to act on it, triggering alerts when certain conditions are met. 🚨 As Martin Fowler puts it: “You can build a simple rules engine yourself…create objects with conditions and actions, store them, and run through to evaluate and execute.” Now, what if you could update those rules without redeploying your code? This new blog post shows you how to build a dynamic rules engine using Amazon Managed Service for Apache Flink. Plus, it includes an AWS CDK project to get you started. 👉 https://lnkd.in/gfkSgeWe #AWS #Flink #IoT #StreamingData #RulesEngine #CDK
