➡Exciting Milestone and New Beginnings Last week, we successfully launched Chains of Fury Volume 1, our retro-inspired boomer shooter. While the launch came with a few challenges, I’m proud to say the game is now available on three major PC platforms—Steam, GOG, and EGS—thanks to the support of Fulqrum Publishing Ltd.. The good news is that Chains of Fury will continue to receive support and updates moving forward. However, the challenging reality is that, at least for now, the revenue generated by the game is not sufficient to sustain Cobble Games. ➡What does this mean? As the primary developer and designer, I will remain committed to updating and improving the game. Unfortunately, this also means I’ve had to make the difficult decision to disband our incredible team of talented professionals. For the first time in 7 years, I will be seeking new opportunities in the industry. Do I have any regrets? Not a single one. I’ve made mistakes along the way, but I embrace them and take full responsibility. These experiences have been invaluable. Over the past 7 years, I’ve learned more than I ever could have imagined. I’ve had the privilege of working alongside brilliant, talented individuals and gained experiences that have shaped both my career and personal growth. I am immensely proud of what we’ve achieved at Cobble Games and of the contributions made by our former team members. ➡The Reality of Entrepreneurship Sometimes you win, and sometimes you lose. That’s part of the journey. For anyone reviewing the credits section of Chains of Fury: if you see a former team member applying for a role at your company, I can personally vouch for them as not only skilled professionals but, more importantly, exceptional individuals. ➡ Looking Ahead I will soon be exploring opportunities for a producer or game designer role at another company. Having successfully built Cobble Games from the ground up and run it for 7 years without external funding, I’m confident I can bring that same level of dedication and leadership to help your team deliver its projects.
Good luck, Krzysiek! I hope everything works out and I can see you in the credits of other games. :)
